I just wanna take a second here to thank Nate Campbell for being a complete class act. This weekend I flew down from Va Beach to see the Roy Jones Jr fight and was lucky enough to get floor seats. Nate and a few others signed my glove, but the best part was just talking to the guy. He made sure to sign any and everything he could for everyone there, and when the picture my dad took of us was blurry, Nate actually asked for the camera to see if he could fix it himself. After the fight, he even posed for another photo with my dad and I together, which is a pretty awesome memory of an amazing night. The man is a consummate professional, and I'm just glad I was lucky enough to meet him. When you're one of the best in the world at what you do and you take the time to treat each and every fan like you're excited to meet them it really makes a difference. Thanks again Nate, you've made me a lifelong fan, and I assure you I'll keep my promise about attending your next fight!
Actually, Nate did commentary for a few of my club shows, and then he filled in for 2 weeks for Teddy Atlas when Atlas was covering the Olympics last year. He has also been the in-studio guest on ESPN Friday Night Fights. This is something he will pursue when his boxing days are over.
Do you happen to know if Nate is looking for a fight before Hatton/Pac winning, or someone to fight if that fight doesn't take place?
I agree. Lewis sounds like some stupid Pot Head on HBO. He offers no insight at all.
hahaha. I always laugh at how he says "definitely." he sounds like he's ****in RIPPPED.
ps. by ripped i mean stoned.
Thats deadly. He's on Myspace aswell, he replied to a message I sent him. Only Pavlik and Campbell have replied to my messages haha. Taylor continues to duck me....
oh well...I'm still a fan :P
Paulie the Magic man will give ya a reply!

From what I see and hear Nate has been through a lot of shit, so it doesn't surprise me he is such a down to earth person.
Respect to Nate.
A true student of the game Nate is. And he was the savior of that PPV in terms of commentary. The Colonel is the worst announcer I've ever heard, and that includes the guys over at Versus and Fox Sports Net.

Thats whats up
hes mos def cut out for that position
So is roy jones and shannon briggs for that matter
get rid of lennox
refreshing story.
Nate was great last night as a commentator. His first time doing it I believe and he is a billion times better than Lennox. Lennox is a goof.

wrong forum, he doesn't come on boxingscene. He goes on that other boxing forum I forget, it's because people talk shit about him here I believe... I forget, that one user knows what forum Nate visits alot.
Nate comes on here and reads stuff every other day at least, but I'm pretty sure he doesnt have an account because he uses my account sometimes. He does post on max and bb, and eastsid sometimes.

Thanks for posting this, Nate is an awesome guy! I had the pleasure of meeting him last summer and have been an even bigger fan of his since.

Thank you for posting. Good to hear a story like this.
Nate is boxing smart. What he was saying was making alot of sense. When he said Sheika was 1 of his favorite fighters because of his style he caught me off guard. Even postfight interviews the guy gives credit where its do.
refreshing story.

You're right. As much as I respect Lennox as a fighter and person, he just isn't doing the job justice. HBO should be looking for better quality, and not be afraid to let him go just because he was the undisputed HW champ.
We need quality commentators. And Campbell definitly impressed
Keep trying bro, he cant ignore you forever :boxing:
hahahah you're right.
I might drop round to his house later. Wait outside his driveway for a while. Hopefully someone will let me in.

Ive spoke with him through fight game and boxing bb. I actually set up his interview with Steve Bunce on the boxing hour...Was talking with Buncey about future Hatton opponents and Nates came up.

Its great to hear stories like this. Very impressive. And if what Castor said is true, its a shame he chooses not to come on this forum over some bad posters.
Anyway he sounds like a good guy.
