so in all height does play a big part in boxing
its an advantage to have more reach/height, but that can be neutralized with quick movement ie. head, feet.
I agree. Reach is more important than height, because tall fighters are often easy to hit with body punches. But with a long reach, you can use your jab to keep an opponent from closing the gap, like Mayweather and Williams usually do.
Here we go ahead with your obsession with trying to show that black fighters are only successful because of a reach advantage. I love how you ignore that this also means taller fighters are harder to hit upstairs or that long arms can be a disadvantage with in-fighting.
very true, as long as you have a swift, stiff jab, you can neutralize the guy coming in, but that can also be applied to the shorter opponent jabbing his way inside while applying the slip, bob and weave.
Yep, that is true, a fighters reach is way more important than his height. Thats what makes freak ass Paul williams so dangerous, his 82 inch reach which is more than Wlads and Vitalis, that is some crazy shit.
Sure, but lots of boxers don't possess those things.
And a great jab works wonders against a shorter opponent who is trying to close the distance, even if he's fast and powerful.

Height figures into a fighter's style if he uses it properly. But some of the fools on here need to understand there are weight division in boxing, not height divisions.
