Grade Pacquiao's Chin

Pacquiaos chin is pretty solid. Although I remember Marquez rocking him with a left hook and DLH was weight drained and barely landed a punch.

His chin is very smooth, hardly any stubble at all and any beard he grows is wispy. It seems to be getting thicker. In his recent pics if him with Mr Hatton, his chin is looking rather wild actually. I imagine he could grow one of those fantastic, long, grey old-asian-man beards with the little pointy moustachios.

But Pac has a great chin. He takes punches and comes through. Anyone with a lesser chin would have a loss on their resume rather than riding the storm and getting through it like Pac.

It is definetely good but not the best. He has been in with top fighters and hasn't been down in a long time.

Pacquiao's chin is good, he can get hurt but he can take a good shot. I'd say something like a 7 or an 8 out of 10.

He has been rocked several times, hurt several times, knocked down several times and knocked out twice (though one was from a body shot). Nonetheless, he hasn't been knocked down for quite a while. His defense in now a bit better, but he can definitely be hurt and put down, but he has shown good recovery and can generally take a good shot too. 7/10. Edit: Just on the above thing about Diaz being knocked down by a single punch from Morales, :lol1:, it wasn't like Morales decimated him with a single shot. It was just a flash KD in which Diaz was caught off balance and out of position. It didn't hurt him or anything or have much to do with his chin at all or the vaunted punching power of Morales, who actually didn't show any great power at all after his SBW days. Barrera was also not a noted puncher at the latter weights in which he fought Pacquiao. He had become much more of a boxer and his power wasn't nearly as evident at those weights. Oscar didn't punch at all so that fight really doesn't matter, even if he did land anything he looked so weak, and his arms were rail thin and out of proportion to the rest of his body so I doubt if he would have been able to hurt Pac much anyway.

Both Marquez and Morales did rock Pacquaio, Marquez rocking him is at the 2:01-2:03 point of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQ10JM2RQCI And the husk of De La Hoya didn't land anything of note on Pac. However, I'd say Pac's chin is very good. He can be rocked or stunned, but it's hard to do and harder still to put him down. An A- or B+ grade chin is reasonable if you're scoring it that way. Top-tier chins belong to the likes of Andrade or Baldomir.

Although Pac got KOed by Medgoen with a body shot, Rustico's lunging chin-chest blow, got KD by Nedal Hussein, doesnt mean Pac cant develop a good chin..
