Showtime did an Andre Ward card here in the Cayman Islands and I heard they are trying to do the next one with Forrest facing a local fighter name Charles "The Killa" Whittaker who is like 35-12 or something like that, that will be a great downfall for him to be fighting at that level, yet again these are only rumors.
He and Sergio Martinez is the obvious choice, as they have different versions of the same title.
Poor Vernon, he probably doesnt have many fights left in him.
I realize Forrest would never leave his home country to fight in another.
Still, it's a fight I'd like to see: Forrest vs. Dzinziruk April 2009 in Berlin. :lol1:
Thats's exactly why an undefeated fighter with his talents and ability has no appeal and nobody considers to fight to raise their profile unless last resort. Wins over any other titlist would do more for a fighters profile right or wrong.
Dzinziruk told the press this morning he's going to fight in April and is looking for an opponent.
Forrest would be perfect...
They say he is fighting in Germany, what happened to their plans to fight in the U.S. if they do that I doubt they have Forrest in mind, maybe Alcine/Phillips?
I'd like to see him fight his mandatory challenger, Sergio Gabriel Martinez.
haha yeah man no doubt. I guess he doesn't want to fight a guy as talented as him for the pay to fight a mandatory. So hopefully it happens as unification or a bigger event later in the year. Depending on how many more fights left he wants before he retires; will have some reflection on who he fights
Good to see the Vipor back in action , there are some very interesting fights out there for him at 154 etc Sergio Martinez, Daniel Santos, Paul Williams, and Sergei Dzindziruk
But nowadays he said he only wants big fights, which is fair. But he has to be consistet to get them.
