I am watching Margarito-Cintron I and he gets a down home, Mississippi ass whipping, and he not only took the rematch, he wanted it!
He put his belt up for grabs against a guy who is a relatively small draw, to try to avenge a loss. Of course it went horribly, but you do have to respect the guy for trying his hardest to become the best fighter he can be, by trying to avenge his only loss.
The thing that really confuses me about Cintron is that he used to be a wrestler, but is completely worthless on the inside. Good power and he did take a huge risk trying to avenge the loss against a guy who just has his number. Didn't care much for the crying, but I still respect him.
It still amazes me that NONE of Steward's fighters can fight worth a damn on the inside.
A buddy and I were discussing this very thing a couple weeks ago it is amazing
This is exactly what Marg should be doing with Williams
He did and williams ran like a bitch to fight quintana and lost the fight anyways in his first title defense :lol1: to this day williams is yet to win a single title defense :nonono: instead he just gave up completely and vacated lol
i respect him, to take the rematch with someone who beat you like he was beat in that first fight and still come out and really try to win instead of just trying to survive is something to respect
i also like the way he fights, very entertaining fighter

He was thoroughly outfought but damn, he gave a pretty good accounting of himself in the second fight. He was landing some big shots on Margarito but he just didn't have the experience to hang with him.
A while back there was an article posted on here about him wantin a 3rd Marg fight. I don't remember exactly when it was up but it was a few months ago.
Wow... he certainly has courage.
a lot of heart certainly
but also IMO kinda stupid.
heck I recall reading an interview going into the rematch with Margarito where even Cintron's head trainer at the time (Steward) didn't think Kermit was ready for Margarito.
so yes he has courage and guts ... but your own trainer not even believing in you is certainly not a good thing
and that 2nd loss to Margarito pretty much made Cintron largely irrelevant at 147.
do you guys see Kermit being able to beat a fighter the caliber of Cotto or Clottey
and god forbid if he fights Margarito a 3rd time.
Would he do it again if he had the chance?

Yep. Those who knocked him sayin he had no heart don't realize it took mad heart for him to fight Marg in the 1st place, let alone twice.
