It's a tough fight to call.
SAL was insanely skilled for a Mexican fighter who are mostly known to brawl. Very fast and powerful for 126, but Pacman brings something else to the table that sometimes is looked over with fighters, and that's ATHLETICISM. His athleticism without a doubt has overshadowed his skills in the past, but they're finally getting to a parallel point which is going to be something to see in the next few years.
IMO, both can win the fight. I don't think neither dominates the other.
but he didint, so im not even going to bother arguing, dude arguably was just entering his prime, thats a weak standard to judge him by, he didint live long enough to do any of that. Thats like if i said "if pac and erik fight at 122 in 1996, erik wins by KO" 122 was likely morales best weight, but does that matter? not really, because thats NOT where those fights took place. we only have one weight class to judge sanchez, and thats at 126.
these are fantasy fights were we will NEVER really SEE how it will end up, but could ONLY assume or deduct how the fights will go...
for the sake of argument ...
I could concede that Erik who is a BEAST at 122 will beat the 122 developing version of PAC rather easily ...
I conceded ages ago that SAL beats the PAC@126 who only fought 3 fights at featherweight...
But I still believe the current PAC who is more of a 135/140 lber would just be to big, strong and fast for any version of SAL past 126...
this may be a weak standard to judge SAL, but this is the only way to have a better argument...
Sanchez win in this fantasy fight!
But in reality Pacman kick his ass back to the grave. This the same ppl said Barerra, Marquez, De la hoya, and Morales II, III will kick Pacman ass but he proved them wrong while moving up in weight. Now they call back the dead person to fight Pac in fantasy fight to restore their honor and pride and just Sanchez won it! Bravo!

Pac himself made the socks excuse after the 1st Marquez fight.
"ummmmm ummmm ummmm," mothere****er can't even talk english after all these years of learning the language.
This is the sort of comment that makes other people see your true color. Criticizing one's inability to use the English language correctly.
Look, the guy never finished formal schooling, yet he is trying his best to speak the language. Plus, let me tell you now, that there are people who, even how hard they try to learn how to pronounce the words correctly, they would find it hard to do, for the simple reason that, 1) Manny's native tongue is Bisaya/Tagalog (2 filipino dialects), 2) Pronouncing foreign words are hard to learn especially if you are already an adult. (You should know that.. don't you?)
By your own standard, many Mexican boxers and other non-english speaking boxers, dont know how to speak english as well, but unlike Manny, they use translators. At least give Manny the credit for trying to speak on his own.
Its almost New Year ferocity... its time for your NY resolutions.. not yet too late.
This is the type of thread, fantasy matchups, where pacfans are in a no-win situation. Matching pac against past fighters where the majority of Manny's fans have not heard of, either they are purely Manny's fans or just too young to know them.
Choose Manny and all negative feedbacks will be thrown at you. The TS should specify who are qualified to reply. Otherwise, pacfans will always be pacfans, and if you are a hater, you will not like it.
Pacfans should avoid this sort of threads, as haters tend to use them to criticize you, being a fan of Manny.
As a Manny fan, I voted for him in the poll, but I watched the video of Salvador Sanchez in one of the replies here and he was really good, fast and got punching power. Now its ok to criticize me for choosing Manny, but please without name callings.
Happy New Year All!
SAL would have probably jumped weight classes if he lived longer...

pacman had trouble with jmm because he's a brilliant counter puncher
pacman beats this guy, believe it
Salvador is better than JMM in all aspects except being a homosexual nobody beats JMM in that category.
12rounds-Sanchez by Dec
15rounds-Sanchez by late KO/TKO
Honestly, this is a very uninformed opinon. P4P salvador's skills were tremendous, the fact that the professor (as pointed out by others in the thread) hit him with all he had only to see sanchez just walk him down, honestly, the pac of today still squares up, the pac of today still doesnt like it to the body, the pac of today gets a bit fatigued in the later rounds of his recent fights (marquez, late in the diaz fight, pac was looking a bit winded but diaz couldnt take advantage).
The pac of today is still the same pac who fought marquez, judging by what i saw against marquez, pac gets his ass handed to him by sanchez, because sanchez could take a punch and i dont think pac could take it getting broke down by him a full 12-15 rounds.
First of all, Pac has carried his power against oppnents who have stood there to be hit and are nowhere near their prime, in diaz case, he was the worst beltholder in the division. Second of all, Sanchez fought in a different era, you had more legit fighters fighting in one weight class, plus a couple less weight classes, so there was less reason to just jump up and down. Honestly, pac had one fight at 135 and another at 147, neither opponent was in their prime, both opponents practically stood there to be hit, neither is what sanchez would do. Im being serious, moving up in weight or not, thats like saying "Bernard hopkins beats ray robinson at lightheavy". Maybe, but Pacs best weight was 126/130. These fights at 135 havent shown me much other than guys who are past it, pac beats with ease. I may sound harsh, but this is an alltime great who had an iron chin and would just keep coming, and Manny doesnt like it to the body, and manny still squares up when he unloads and sanchez would pick up on that and adjust and break him.
to start with I wont question PAC being beat down by SAL at 126...
but you are mistaken if you think that PAC has not improved from when he faced marquez and he still squares up to throw a punch, and NO Pacs best weight is NO longer at 126/130 ...
PAC fighting legends in Marco, Erik and Juan Manuel, different set of skills and strength, this experience tremendously helped Manny to learn from them and let him evolve to a better fighter and I would say that your suggestion that PAC is no different from the one who fought Marquez is HIGHLY UNINFORMED!
I agree SAL is an All Time Great but PAC is also on his way to All Time Greatness himself, so its not really absurd to have discussions on how they will fair against each other at different weights...
SAL would have probably jumped weight classes if he lived longer...
shit is easy alright
pacman, guy is just too fast too good too strong for this dude
and i hate highlight videos, they are bias and are heavily edited
LOL come on man. Salvador was incredible, he could have been the Greatest of All Time if he had lived.
I said Pacquiao. Two reasons::trink26:and:notworthy
Pac probably could beat Sal at 147, lol. If we are talking about FW Pac against a 23 year old FW Chava? No, no way in hell, he was one of the GOAT.
Only Mexican posters make excuses...it's in thier blood. Pacfans need not excuses coz he didn't lose 8 times in a row like Mexico did.
you just said pac lost to morales cause of his gloves. EXCUSE BOY!
I could never get credit from owning both of you dumbasses. I really wish you guys a bit smarter I swear. At least I would get recognition for it.
You're a genious in your own mind.
I'm not the one who started making excuses. Xcaret did. I just gave em a dose of what if excuses. I wasn't actually making an excuse...it was just an example. But brain like yours and Xcarets wouldn't get that so I understand. Pride makes you really really dumb you know.
I can see how pride makes you dumb, as you keep making a dumb ass out of yourself with every post.

You Flips still talking about them Cleto gloves, lmao. If only Pac had them on when he fought Marquez or better yet, Barrera 2nd time around.
Morales always wore winning gloves, he wasn't about to change just for Pac. They had on the same gloves.
next thing you know they will be blaiming pac's losses to morales and marquez on the color trunks he wore.
EXCUSES EXCUSES.....something Mexicans posters always do.
How about this......if Pac had not been duped to wearing Winning Gloves, he would have KOed Morales in the first fight. That's the better excuse with proof. He demolished EM when he wears Cleto.

Whats funny is how every pac fan and especially the nutthuggers were all worked up about how much of a beating Pac was going to put on Marquez in there 2nd encounter. How Pac is soooooooooooooo strong, and greatly improved. And the fight happends and Pac gets stunned more times then ever and at the end get a nice wrapped decision. Marquez will beat Pac all day everyday. And Sanchez is no differnt. Morales was supposed to be a dead man walking into the Pacquiao fight and beat Pac convincingly. Pac is over rated. If he beat Hatton that'll be a great win since the Barrera fight, but i don't see that happening.
