Would that version (the 130lbs version, from 1998 to 2001) be undefeated if he had about 7 encounters with MAB, Erik & JMM while they were at their best 130 pound versions?
This is a bit mythical, but it's a question that should be answered. Manny went 5 wins, 1 loss & 1 draw against the three greats at Feather and Jr Feather. Would the Jr Featherweight Floyd Mayweather have walked away undefeated???
Diego Corrales was probably the biggest name Floyd had to face at this weight, i love the guy and respect him but he was not as good as these 3 mexicans. Can see Marquez and Morales beating floyd maybe a young MAB to.
Thank you.

I think you'd have to factor those in but the biggest factor is that styles make fights and floyd's style trumps morales and mab's style. That is why people give jmm a better chance to hang w/ floyd because he's more cerebral, but jmm won't be able to deal w/ the size, strength, and skills of floyd.
at 130 floyd had no weaknesses.
at 147 floyd has bad hands and lacks power.
So it's fair to admit that Floyd is bigger than the three Mexican greats?
I really can't picture Barrera, Morales or Marquez troubling Mayweather in any way. Marquez would do the best because of his boxing skills, but would lose a comfortable decision. He was out boxed by Chris John, Barrera received the boxing lesson of his life by Junior Jones twice(and brutally knocked out in one of those times) and Morales would really be overwhelmed. He looks his best against other brawlers. All great fighters mind you, but none of them would stand a chance against Floyd especially at 130, not even Pacquaio( then or now).
you ****ing boxrec nOOb, you know **** all, JMM was ROBBED!! you pathetic 16 year old yank ****!! :bottle::lame:
So is it safe to say that:
Mayweather wins cuz he's the larger good man, or
Because he's just better, or
A combination of the two???

floyd wins against them all. i see barerra giving him more comp than jmm though. floyd would stop moralles with 7 rounds , and that's a stretch. pacman would lose very bad to floyd. jmm is a great counterpuncher, but his balance is nowhere near floyd's balance and i'm talking offense and defense, fighting off of the ropes or in the middle of the ring, coming forward or going backwards. the floyd that fought coralles, justin jukko especially. his upperbody movement alone would crush those guys, period. floyd at 130 was just too damn fast and had a lot of power. he would beat them all, fairly easy imo. chaves gave mayweather competition because he stayed at his chest and had a good chin, but floyd loved to fight pressure fighters at 130, he countered them so well, and made them look silly. thing about floyd at this weight class, is it was his natural weight, so his physicality at 130 was subperb. i always go back to him fighting justin jukko and you guys really need to go back and watch this fight and in slow motion. watch how he moves, watch how his avoids punches, watch how he counters off of the block, he put everything together at a young age and his stamina was amazing. floyd's footwork offset many to most of his opponents at 130. i mean, imo, he is the most dominant fighter at this weight class, because he made it look too easy. skillwise, jmm, barerra, pacman, and erik has never been on his level overall. his balance was his strongest asset at 130, no question about it. his jab was a veyr effective punch, and he feinted when he threw, that's why he was so accurate. floyd was just too ahead of his time at 130. i also go back to the tony pep fight, where tony pep landed 3 punches in a few rounds on floyd, and not effective punches. floyd was so good at 130, he could have fought for a championship in his 4th or 5th fight, trust me. he was so ahead of his time at this weight, it's not even funny. he beats them all, and soundly.
Those guys were only great as long as they were fighting each other and Pacquiao. Once they stepped up to an elite athlete, they would get owned. Junior Jones and Raheem weren't even the best of the best, but they still showed they were on a different level.
I saw Junior jones knocking out barrera and beating him twice, I saw Morales(Great brawler) getting outbox by the first slick boxer he faced in years in Zahir raheem, Mayweather would do to Barrera and morales twice as much but he would also know that he was in a fight because they wouldnt make it easy on him.... JMM would be the only guy who would give him trouble but Mayweather would beat him too.
That 122lbs Barrera was a totally different fighter than the 130lbs Barrera. He changed his style up completely, largely because of that fight.
i know what you mean, but then you would have to argue that hes going to outbox mayweather at his best weight, that is NOT going to happen.
you may bring up experience, but all of those guys with the exception of marquez have shown they dont like movement, at all.. Floyd would stay on the move, then stop so as not to give them a rhythm, and then move again, go into his shell etc. Floyd fought 12 rounds back then, if barrera didint like jr jones, imagine how hed feel against floyd. In morales case, again, i dont see him matching floyds speed, or being able to time floyd for a counter, floyd doesnt give anyone a rhythm, ever. With marquez, sadly i think the chris john fight showed me that he really does have issues with superior boxers, not to mention, there are enough holes in his defense when he goes through these lulls in a fight to where floyd would counter fairly easily. In Eriks case i wont bring up the Raheem fight, he was older then
I respect all these guys and the only fighter i can honestly say i dont like is barrera, i never liked him, ever. But none of these guys are the kind of fighter to beat floyd and break his defense.

Good point with the Goyo fight, that being said, I think the 130lbs versions of MAB, Erik and JMM were so experienced and seasoned by that point that one of them could pull off a victory against the still young 130lbs version of Floyd. I really feel one of them could do it. Floyd would have been larger, but I'd never count the great three out.

i've watch robinson/lammota nad have seen mayweathers fight from gatti to his last one. i think that's a fair amount of knowledge to estimate where a boxer is at
how about morales run at 122? or barreras? floyds run at 130 was spectacular. In all honesty i have been watching this sport all my life, to this day i have found there is always something you dont know. my advice to you, post less, read and watch more. ask question, do less insulting and dont base your whole schtick on the heels of ONE fighter.
I think they all give him trouble since they all proved they can carry the 130 lbs well. But, Floyds is the naturally bigger guy. I think they'd give him problems but Floyd would win in the end.
Look at Floyds fight with Goyo Vargas former 126 champ, and he gave Floyd trouble, some say he tested Floyd more so then anyone up to that point and Floyd knew he was in a fight but he was winning.
I think Mab and Marquez would trouble Floyd more.
Mab for his speed and boxing skills.
Marquez for his countering abilities and defence/boxing skills.

That's why I have good guys in my corner like you looking for out my safety. Thanks bro. Close to 6am. I'm out. Merry Christmas and enjoy the holidays.
You too man, at least it was good for some laughs.
Irony and Sarcasm, he already explained that in the other thread i think. I'm waiving this one off, you can't win, live to fight another day.
