Ill start by saying holy sh!t Pacquiao impressed me last night! I thought Oscar was going to KO him easy. He fought a perfect fight and deserves all the credit in the world.
I hope Pacquiao decides to fight Marquez again instead of a Ricky Hatton fight.
I just rewatched Marquez-Pacquiao II and that was a hell of a fight. I scored it 115-112 for Marquez, but there was a lot of close rounds, could have gone either way. After that Marquez followed Pac to 135 and knocked out the linear champion Casamayor. Then he travels to the Phillipines to call Pacquiao out.
I say just give the guy another fight. He deserves it.
Unfortuantey, I think Pac is now in the "bigtime" "MayweatherHattonDeLaHoya" category and will only fight people like "MayweatherHattonDeLaHoya" status and will probably leave Marquez in the dust.

And if he does leave him in the dust, its ok..eventhoughi'd love to see another fight. I believe Pac will end up fighting him though...
yep, jmm needs to up his status if he wants another pac fight
^^^^^
Tru dat
Marquez wiil have to wait now. Manny aint fighting him for a while. Perhaps never. Manny can fight Hatton and PBF an retire. His legacy is that cemented. He doesnt need JMM for anything. Sorry to say because JMM is a great fighter!!!!!!
Thats what i'm sayin, Marquez is an excellent fighter and i belive a trilogy should happen
I dunno. He had 2 chances, lost the 2nd and shoulda lost the 1st. I'm sure a 3rd fight will be great and he's capable of winnin if he could actually take Pac's shots and stay up. But Pac don't have to fight him again at this point.
Pacquiao beat him twice so no rematch intended..
JMM made a statement.. 10k PPV against Casamayor..
He need to rematch Chris John though.. John gave him an ass whooping.
On the contrary, Pacman fighting Juan Diaz, Valero and even Victor Ortiz isn't that far off. I doubt it Pacman really means it when he said he is only fighting three more times before calling it quits and these guys depending on their 2009-2010 performance could prove to be draws themselves.
nah there are only 3 more big money fights out there... hatton, pbf, and a rematch w/ jmm... he might as well retire after that
Don't worry we all know Pac wont fight these fighters and Marquez will have to fight them.

Styles make fights. Why do you think Marquez is ducking these guys but is pushing for a fight with Pacquaio whom he knows matches up well with his style?
Guzman got careless in conditioning, but his skills would match up well with Marquez at any weight. Valero is hungry and has KO power. Diaz is also hungry. He only got beaten by a fighter who matches up well with his style. Marquez' style is faaar from Nate Campbell's so I think Diaz would simply outwork and bully the naturally smaller Marquez. I'm not even considering Humberto Soto and Urbano Atillon here, but at 36, Marquez would be manhandled by these bigger guys.
If Marquez wants a low-risk money-fight, a Marco-Antonio Barrera rematch at lightweight would be advisable. Barrera floored him in their first meeting, and JMM's win wasn't that decisive.
Nate Campbell is a one-shot wonder. He loses to everyone in the list above including Juan Diaz if they are to have a rematch. Marquez could want to face him and be undisputed lighweight champ, it would be easy :D
I gotta admit that guzman is a tough fight for anyone, but he goes to the back of the line for fukkin up w/ his weight...
Valero is a wild card, we won't know shit until he fights somebody... he should fight Rocky Juarez in texas.

Yeah let say JMM is a great, but that greatness seems vanish because Pacman let him kissssssssss the canvas many times.... LOL
I dont think Pacman will fight again this crap because Pacman has nothing to gain anymore with JMM.... Pacman is no longer as the Pacman that JMM fight, Pacman is already a ATG Superstar. LOL
As good as Marquez is unfortunately he's not gonna get his chance until Pac is done with his "big" money fights. By then either if not both will not be the fighters they are today.
Bold statements considering Guzman and Valero havent even tested the waters at 135 yet, Guzman couldnt even make 135.
In my opinion, Marquez beats Valero and Diaz, and a fight vs Guzman would be very interesting and I would call it even.

Unfortunately, Pacquiao seems to have moved beyond JMM permanently. That said, there don't appear to be many more big money names out there around his weight to fight.
Marquez won't get past Guzman, Valero would pummel him and Diaz would simply outwork him silly. :D I think he should start proving that he deserves his P4P status, he won't do that by beating old shot fighters like Casamayor. Just look at how Pacman isn't getting any credit for beating an old shot dela Hoya? :D

Yea man i feel bad for Marquez cause he gave Pac a hell of a fight 2 times and can make an argument he won both fights. Now Pac is a "big time" fighter and Marquez may never get chance again. I see Pac fighting Hatton and Mayweather too. Meanwhile Marquez will have a lot of very very tough fights at lightweight and get not nearly as much credit, exposure, or money.
But man I still cant get over how much Pac impressed me last night, he fukin shocked me.
