Floyd Mayweather was a superstar, in the boxing world. Since he beat De La Hoya he has become a household name to the casual sports fan. He's done dancing with the stars and WWE. If Pacquaio wins, and thats a big if, does he become big in America? His personality is nothing like Floyd. I think he is more marketable with his humbleness and what he has done for his home country. Plus he is young. Can this lead to major American sponsors and recognition?
pacquiao isnt going to appeal to mainstream america and he doesnt have a large fil-am community to rely on the way dlh or mayweather had with their respective communities. Besides, Pac seems to be looking to cash in his chips before retiring so I dont think he'll remain in the spotlight for more than a few fights anyway. I'm sure he could make it on dancing with the stars though... and probably wrestle rey mysterio in another mexico vs philippines rivalry so yeah..
what's floyd's community?
Leave me alone, I make it rain, I make it rain, all night long
My name is Manny, my name is Manny, Money, Pacquiao
My name is Manny, my name is Manny, Money, Pacquiao
Nah Floyd is more well known. Floyd runs his mouth much more and many people like/dislike Floyd. More casual fans know Floyd than Manny. Nobody under 140 nowadays is really a superstar.
Just a little comparison since most of you here have predicted a Mayweather win against Oscar that went according to expectations and writing off Pacman this early:

he's not marketable
he looks like an ordinary douche bag that has no place in national TV
just like that spanish guy from that show, he was in the weigh in..
you know that ugly actor that was standing next to DLH, rooney is better looking than him
people like this is are ruining TV that's why they're coming up with some new equipment so we don't have to stand it anymore

nah... he's not going to win anyways
other than that small obstacle... americans like big mouths like hamed and haye.
