I've seen almost anyone who lists a few favourite fighters has JMM on the list. To be fair he is never many people's favourite guy and he doesn't have people who will argue that he would beat king kong. But man, most all of us seem to like him.
JMM bringing boxing fans together, lol.
Pac made it clear after the fight that he wanted no part of rematch but the press continued pressuring him about it so pac was forced to deflect the question by saying that he'd face jmm anytime anywhere.... somewhere down the line.:ugh: pac wasnt about to sit down at the negotiation table any time soon (ever) so jmm had to make the most of that opportunity by calling pac's bluff the old fashion way, man to man rather than through bs internet articles. JMM never even personally attacked pac he only questioned the outcome and offered the challenge. Since when is challenging a fighter considered an insult? they do fight for a living after all and some of the greatest matches would not have taken place if one fighter had not challenged another. For some reason pac fans believe that pac should be placed on a pedestal and treated like the second coming.
Yeah I'd expect that from you guys. Men call it talking MAN to MAN.
Your so called MAN can't even accept defeat... lame...
LOLMAO!!!!!
Manny was there to welcome JMM in the Phil.. he didn't show up to talk about rematch in the first place. wrong place and definitely wrong time for JMM to say such things.
Man to man? We call it bitching! Others call it cry baby.. :bottle::bottle::bottle:

Maybe you don't know what talking MAN to Man means. It wasn't a message or letter sent to Pac, he didn't hear about it or read about JMM 's comments. JMM had the balls to tell Pac WTF he thought was the truth, (and lots of boxing experts agree that JMM won), he hit em up about the rematch and made his point.
You notice how Manny NEVER argued JMM saying he won.... all he said was "I'm lucky that I win the fight" , and a whole lot of uuhhh,,,,ehhh,,,,mmmmhhh,,,,,uuuuuhhhhhh.
LOLMAO!!!!!

I know what you mean, but last time I checked you HAD to beat the CHAMP to get his Title. Manny didn't beat him. Ring mag wouldn't do all that, especially since it had JMM winning then HAVING TO GIVE the ring mag belt to Manny. How would it look if they started talking about how they accept the wrong decision.
According to the judges he did. About the Ring belt, on Casa won even though Santa Cruz should have gotten it but they still call it a dumb decision by the judges. Boxing Monthly or Digest even said the fight was closed that could have gone either way. As far as you said Manny didn't beat JMM, vice versa also. JMM didn't beat Pac. Even the judge who was replaced, he even scored it with the judge who scored it 114-113. I don't hear any media crying over it. They believed that fighters are just that closed toe to toe, the reason for a trilogy(even the fans want it too). Its only the haters whose crying robbery.
The judges awarded it to Pacquiao, it was promoted by Top Rank and Golden Boy. JMM was knockdowned and that sealed it for Pac. And you can say JMM landed more punches but it is due to the round when cut was Pac and did not do anything. Pac won, he did what he needed to do and won on 2 judges.
Look at the Chris John-Marquez fight, his fans are calling it a robbery even though there were no Indonesian judges. There was a western journalist representing the Ring mag and Sweet Science and scored it for John. I don't hear any media saying JMM should have won.
Marquez is certainly great! Although i gotta admit im not a big fan of his crying feeling that he beat Pac but thats another story n it doesnt take away from the HOF career that he's had! Haye would rank up there as well i think as far as most popular fighter on this board...
Marquez should retire..
Pac beat him twice and Knocked him down 4 times..
He's just a fighter living off at Pac's shadows.
Gee, I never thought I'd see you in a Marquez thread! How surprising! Obviously you just can't help yourself.
Anyway, enough of that douche-bag. Anyone that actually enjoys boxing, unlike the moron above, will enjoy watching Marquez fight. It's nearly impossible not to enjoy watching him. He has some of the greatest combinations of any fighter I've seen, if not the best, and is quite simply oone of the most enjoyable fighters to watch due to his fighting heart along with the incredible boxing technique that goes along with it.
Very hard not to like him, unless of course you're only obsessed with watching one fighter and don't know how to simply enjoy watching a brilliant fighter ply his trade.
Edit: You know something really sad? I just went through the rest of this thread and it is just full of Pacquiao fans desperate to denigrate anything and everything that Marquez does. Why is that? Why is it that every Marquez thread gets bombarded by Pac-fans obsessed with trying to slander his name? It's so f*cking pathetic it makes me want to fall asleep. There is never anything remotely intelligent written, it's just a bunch of ten year old little pricks ranting about fags and Marquez not beating Pacquiao etc etc. Jesus kiddies, get a life.

And your comments continue to be just a bad joke.
of course leave it to the pinoys to come in and basicly validate the purpose of the thread.
How do you think Marquez-Diaz or Marquez-Campbell would turn out if they happened in 2009?
True but like i posted before, the media(like the Ring mag) said that even though they had it for JMM, the fight wasn't a robbery, it was a closed fight that could have gone either way(it went Pac's way), the judges saw something on the fight that they made it scored it that way, and the judges decision must stand and respected.
I don't remember the name anymore, its either World Boxing or KO Boxing mag(under the Ring mag), when they had an article on Pac fighting the jr. lightweight and lightweight fighters and who they think will win. They had Guzman, Barrera, JMM, Diaz, and Casamayor. On their prediction on the Pac-JMM rematch, they have Pac winning by a close decision and might even be controversial. Well, it did happen that way. This article was in 2006, 2 years before the rematch.
JMM wasn't robbed of a win. The Ring mag writes small article on robberies of a fight if there is one. They call it "magoo". Example is the Casamayor-Santa Cruz fight. They believed(including other medias and fans) have Santa winning but it went to Casa. On the next 2 issues of Ring mag, there were no "magoo" on the JMM-Pac fight.
There were topics(including other forums) that Pac did not clearly beat JMM. Well, it can be say the same thing with JMM. He didn't clearly beat Pac. Why? Well, just look at the judges scorecards. And medias even said it was a closed fight that could have gone either way(repeating myself again, sorry). If JMM really wants to beat Pac, then he needs to clearly beat him. Just like how Erik Morales did it to Pac.
Morales-Pac 1, closed fight with a clear winner.
Pac-JMM 2, closed fight that could have gone either way.

Not too many threads on him, #1p4p in my opinion beat pacman twice if you ask me. I really wanna see him fight Juan Diaz and Nate Campbell in 2009. I'm worried his age is catching up with him even though he knocked out Casamayor I thought he would have looked better in earlier rounds, maybe its a styles thing.
Most Of The Media Said Jmm Won The Fight.
