Moments ago Paul Williams and Verno Phillips made weight for their junior middleweight clash on HBO tomorrow night. Williams tipped the scales at 153 1/2 lbs. Phillips 154lbs.
Heavyweight Chris Arreola came in at 254 lbs, his opponent Travis Walker weighed in at 231 lbs.
I'm telling you. Watch PWill while you can. He is a special fighter. I'm not comparing him to the ATG's, yet. But he has a shot. I think he takes Phillips in 10 rounds.
going a lil overboard right... Cant compare him or even say he has potential to be an ATG.
But he does put on quality performances which is great for the sport....
Im concerned about Chris' weight. 254?? are you serious? Walker looks to be in EXCELLENT shape and he's hard puncher. If Walker can withstand the storm of punches the first 4 rounds, Arreola may be in bad shape(no pun) I dont see how dude doesnt gas the way he throws punches in bunches. Team Arreola must be banking on a early ko bigtime
Walker is a 8-1 dog lol, thats worth a small bet

Jesus, Dan Goosen has to MC that thing himself. I expect Arreola-Walker to be a barnburner. Travis Walker is no joke & Arreola has no business being in the 250's.
smh.
How does this guy keep getting heavier and heavier?
Dude is setting himself up for a huge disappointment.
As a fan of Nightmare, I'm disgusted.
Yesterday was Thanksgiving, so its not like he had to worry about making weight,
BUT STILL!
254
Why you got to go there with the PWill fans, b?
fat pieces of shit
and people wonder why no one wants to watch heavyweights.....
honestly i know they dont have to make a weight limit but they could at least keep themselves in fit fighting shape
Walker is in good shape
Arreola is a fat ass, he needs to show more dedication
Yeah I would rather see him at 135-140 range. He fought Witherspoon at 139 and Macolm Tann at 135 and he looked really good in both fights. Im a fan of his and I hope when he gets a big fight that he comes in at a better weight for him. 154 is a little much.
22222222222222222. Yeah I'm trying my best to root for Arreola. He keeps his hands up, but isn't afraid to trade and has decent power. But after 300 and some amateur fights, he still looks like an am out there and doesn't seem to train seriously enough to be effective in the later rounds. He's only been past 7 once which is fine when you're blowing out tomato cans in the first round (of which he has 10,) but it isn't going to cut it against good comp, maybe not even against Walker.
4 1/2 lbs less than his last fight and it is the day after Thanksgiving. Might be good enough to beat Travis Walker, but damn, Chris is going to have to get serious if he wants to be competitive at the top.

254!?! Arreola's still pudgy... I have doubts about that match-up. As for Williams, I actually think it's going 12 but I think he'll win every round.
You got a source Bat (no UltimateBoxa)?
Source is the place where they talk boxing ya digg?
Man Arreola weighed 258 his last fight and now 254. I hope this doesn't hurt him because I think Walker will give him a fight. Against Witherspoon he was 239 and looked great against him. This should be a good fight though, one I think Arreloa wins.
