Who did Roy beat to be considered a revelant 175 pounder? He decisioned Anthony Hanshaw who was later KNOCKED OUT by Andre Dirrelll (a guy who's never been in the ring with a champion yet), he beat Felix Trinidad who's best weight is 147 and 154. Hopkins is ancient, and doesn't fight the same as he use too.
If Calzaghe wasn't P4P number 1 or a legend prior to these 2 last fights then he's still not, because he beat 2 old me, and barely beat the first 1
Can we agree than that if Cal beating Jones means nothing then Dawson beating older and never as good Tarver and Johnson means even less?
How is that possible when both of those guys beat a younger version of Jones?
On paper I agree. It doesnt do anything. What it did do was showcase his skills on the a big stage. And I think he needed that. Hopkins made him look like ass, and no one really watched the Kessler fight.
Just for the record Calzaghe is 37 and he is past his prime too. Roy maybe shot, but Calzaghe beat Lacy,Manfredo,Hopkins Kessler, ect, ect.!!!!!! He already paid his dues.
Manfredo.... LMAO
I want to see Calzaghe beat young, up and comers like Chad Dawson, and yes Tarver and Johnson are revelant asshole, their both top 175 pounders, no matter their ageAhh so it's relevant for US fighters to beat up washed up fighters, but not for non US fighters, got it.
Tarver and Johnson where NEVER top 175 pounders, much less at 40.
Can we agree than that if Cal beating Jones means nothing then Dawson beating older and never as good Tarver and Johnson means even less?
except Tarver could pull the trigger, Tarver was definently past it to, but Jones has been Koed, has no legs left and can't pull the trigger...definition of shot.
I want to see Calzaghe beat young, up and comers like Chad Dawson, and yes Tarver and Johnson are revelant asshole, their both top 175 pounders, no matter their age, Roy Jones is not anymore
you can make an argument just based off of the fact he cleaned out the 168 lb division...175 is just for kicks...beating hopkins and jones doesnt hurt either...
