The guy just had no defense at all, no defense! and left himself open when he threw a punch. He lost to Apollo, a 33 year old shot fighter. Ok first time Rocky took him to 15 rounds but so what, he nearly lost again to Apollo in the rematch! He defended his his title 10 times against bums! then he goes a fights a HW Wrestling Champion? I mean what the **** was that all about. It was like Mayweather vs Big Show all over again. Micky reminded me of Frank Warren, Mickey Goldmill "hand-picked" challengers that were good fighters, but not 'killers'. Rocky then got KTFO by Lang in the first match. His only decent win as over Ivan Drago. So all you Balboa nuthuggers out there go screw yourselves! :bottle::bottle: I agree, Rocky Balboa had some decent wins but was really the 'Arturo Gatti' of the hw division. He fought with alot of heart but his skill and defense level was abysmal...

Ok listen Balboa can not be considered an ATG... Most of his fights took place in the one country. He only left America at the end of his career in 1985. His parents were from Europe. After he beat Clubber Lang he ducked out of a third fight by retiring, instead of giving the fans the rubber match everybody wanted. When he trained Creed to fight Drago, Balboa let Creed walk out for the second round. Yeah I know he's said in many interviews that Creed said 'Don't stop the fight, blah blah', but this was his best friend's health for **** sake. He was a good fighter, but not an ATG. And he shouldn't make the HOF ballot.

Drago was a BUM. When he fought Rocky his professional record was 1-0. He beat an over the hill Apollo Creed. Like Spinks did with Ali. And listen, Balboa never gave rematches to Creed or Drago. rocky is a FICTIONAL person. but i will play along. the Rocky character is loved so much because he was the blue collar underdog who always found away to win. he wasnt suppose to beat Apollo, he wasnt suppose to beat Clubber lane or Ivan Drago. and when he fought Mason dixin(tarver) he was in his 60s, he was suppose to get killed but he didnt.
