Cuba would be some tough boxers, but seeing as they really work hard with communism, I cant help but think that they would become lazy if the communism fades. Just look at the Soviet Union years they were tough to beat in the sports. Now separated Russia isnt even top 20 in basketball and other sports.
I said Russia because its the biggest country..........

You know you may be right.
Puerto Rico has 4 million people and 3 champs I think.
Calderon Santos and JuanMa versus Panama's 3 million people and 4 champs.
Am I missing anyone?
But you know Panama is cooler, so I have to like Panama better but no doubt Puerto Rico is pretty damn good for being a small place.
Yeah but Calderon and Santos are 2 division champions, Juanma is looking like a candidate and Cotto although not now a champion also has 2 division world titles. And Calderon is a pound4pound top 10.
Roberto Duran you could argue is the greatest latinamerican fighter and Panama also has a fighter with 20 total defenses, but pound4pound I gotta go with my country, Puerto Rico with all the records our fighters hold.
the US.
from the start of the 1880's there were american champions.
LMAO your not to smart are you??
how does being an amercian champ make them best in the world?
I would have to agree with that.
Thanks.
We are certainly near the top of the league seeing as the entirety of the United Kingdom is no where near the size of the state of Texas, but we are not number one.
My country the United Kingdom has had quite a few world champions over the years, but we simply cannot compare to you Americans on that front.
I would have to agree with that.
Am I missing a Puerto Rican Champ cuz Panama 4 current Champs Puerto Rico 3 current champs :) ?
PR is pretty good. But they don't have Duran either....
duran is another league!!
:boxing:
no doubt!!!!
no man.. u are right those are the current champs!! :boxing:
if your talking in terms of scale to size then you`d have to say countrys like puerto rico and england.
Always wondered about what could of been if cubans had of been allowed to turn proffesional more often!!
everyone talks and try to convince that we are one or another thing!!!
territory... part... colony..... state...independent.... however u want to call it.we are puertoricans no matter how the rest of the world see us!!!
and back to the topic.. puerto rico hands down!!
pr is a country culturally.why is it so hard for some of you dunces to understand that?
isn't wales it's own country? it's apart of the uk, but it is its own country.
then again what should i expect from a few morons, who don't know jack shit about boxing but post on a boxing site?
I'm not gonna do the ****ing rundown who pr has had, In the definition of p4p, pr is the best.you're talking about an island that is half the size of new jersey.that alone should blow your ****ing minds.
PR is a US commonwealth, a territory of the US. They are US citizens, have representatives in congress(not in the senate though). If they are a country, then why did they have an election if they want to remain a commonwealth, become the 51st US state, or gain independence. They don't have a president, prime minister, or something. They don't have their own military. I know they have an Army national guard that can mobilize if order so by the US president.

There's more Ricans in NY than there is in Puerto Rico.
US Virgin Island.
PRO Boxing:
PR hands down they had champs for decades, and they are as big as a city.
AM Boxing:
Cuba, no need to explain why right?
And if you put the last 50 years of history aside they would be 1 and 2 in random order.
