Best bout for Roy Jones Farewell Fight in Pensacola: Erdei, Silva, Tarver, etc...???

I think he should retire, but if he wants one more fight then ....... hmmmm.... How about Tarver? Seems a fair conclusion of both fighters careers and a nice ending to that part of boxings seniors tour.

He shoudl shut the Calzaghe nut huggers and fight Dariusz Michalsewszki (I probably spelled it wrong)

I don't know enuf about Zolt to say whether or not a faded Roy could take him. But Lacy still has a modicum of a name left and I'm sure Roy could take him, even after the beatin he got from Joe C. Any of those other guys would beat Roy at this point. now that lacy has been taken out of the picture with his lackluster performance against jt, i think zsolt is the only option shy of a complete bum for roys farewell bout...

anderson silva? :rofl: wtf apparently freddie roach is training silva for his standup in a possible upcoming match with liddel, so it is possible. anderson silva also has a pro fight record. he is a rangey southpaw. roy should be able to destroy him in a boxing match still, but it could be hyped up and a way for roy to finish on a positive note in a big, high-profile bout, even if a blatant mismatch!

i agree, but roy wants to fight. if i had first choice, i'd say retire. if he's gonna try and fight for a name, who is the best in terms of reward for risk ratio.... erdei never fought anyone, or left europe and it gives roy a shot to get a belt he never possessed, the wbo light heavy belt! I don't know if he even has enough now to beat Erdei and I doubt Erdei would leave his backyard to go to Jones' backyard. Maybe a Michalczewski fight would be good for him because Michalczewski is basically done as well but I doubt Michalczewski would fight Jones in Pensacola.

If he doesn't retire, Roy should fight Hopkins. That fight would make more money than anyone would expect.
