the past few weeks all i have read is people hating on Vic.
the one most noticeable thing to me was that every one was hating on him, yet nobody was giving him credit.
1. The guy was already a champ
2. The guy didn't need the Mijares fight - he could have fought lesser opponents
3. He could have taken less risks and earnt more money long term
4. He did talk a lof of shit, but never was it personal insults.
None of you haters for one second said, 'hey wait a minute, let's give the guy some credit for pushing for this fight - the fight that is very high risk for him.'
All I can say to you guys now is repent...thats it, come out and say the guy could have taken a lot easier path, but chose to challenge the best with high risk with his 'limited abilities'.
Congrats Vic - win/lose/draw I was one of the few giving you credit.

Sorry but that is ridiculous to act like Darchinyan was the one taking all the risks.
Vic needed this fight and he needed to win it bad. When Donaire KOed him everyone was saying he got exposed including a lot of the boxing media. He needed to come back with an actual credible win to prove he was not just hype. And he did and good for him.
But don't act like he was risking any reputation because that went bye bye when Donaire knocked him out and he not only regained it when he knocked Mijares out he established himself among the top fighters in the lower weight classes. Something that was in question even before he got koed by Donaire.
So did he need this fight? F__K yeah he did.
I'm a fan of Vic but I thought he'd get schooled. I was wrong. My predictions this year have mostly been Atlas-like. Props to Vic.
I'm much the same and I was expecting a Mijares UD. But during the build up, the one big thing I noticed was that nobody stopped for a second and gave the guy some credit.
