From Dan Rafael's Notebook: Schaefer and Arum have discussed Steven Luevano, Top Rank's featherweight titlist, facing Golden Boy's Rocky Juarez in the TV opener, either for Luevano's title or in a 128-pound catchweight bout. Arum said another possibility for the co-feature was Top Rank junior featherweight titlist Juan Manuel Lopez defending against Golden Boy bantamweight titlist Gerry Penalosa. HBO prefers Luevano-Juarez. -You got Luevano, a "boxer" type against Juarez, who's decent but never throws enough punches. JML alone should be the preference, no matter who he's fighting. He's an eventual P4P'er man! No offense to Luevano but.. he's boring. What fight do you prefer?

I'd prefer Juanma vs Penalosa. I'm tired of Juarez always getting a fight for HBO....I'm not hating, he just bore me to death. And so is Luevano.

Stupid fight for Rocky. But i guess, Rocky isn't in it to win a title anymore, he's allowing his manager or hbo to push him into tough fights when instead he should be working on touch up on his fighting style. Rocky should win this but not before he is getting out classed by Luvano. But in the end, it will be a spectacular Ko by Rocky.

Anyway it makes more sense Luevano/Juarez because the headline of the night will be a Mexican, and this fight probably takes place in California.

Yeah, Luevano vs Dib was a boring one, besides he seems to be a weak champ. Juanma vs Penalosa would've been a very exciting match and a step up to Juanma.

i think the jml fight would be more boring,cuz of penalosa,but i always forget about rocky's style being boring some times,i'm a luevano fan though,i thought the dibb fight was entertaining,i know i know
