Has anyone ever been knocked out in the last second of the last round?

Well, have they? Can anyone think of a fight in which someone has been banged out or stopped in the very last second of the very last round of a fight? I can't think of one. Chavez/Taylor comes close but that wasn't really a knockout and was more controversial than anything, but that still comes about as close as it gets that I can think of at this moment. So, does anyone have one?

Mosley vs Mayorga recently. I probably should have put in the title 'Apart from Mosley/Mayorga' as that's what got it thinking. I still can't think of any other fights. Actually, I struggle to think of many fights that have ended in the twelfth right near the end let alone the last second! C'mon people, let's bring the fights! :fing02:

Last rd KOs are rare anyway. Last rd/last second ain't sumthin I recall aside from SSM-Mayo.

In most cases the ref will let the round end and have the judges determine the bout(if its the very last round) in cases of the middle of the fight, he would let the round end and have the doc's check the fighter out and see if he can continue, but will stop action at the first instance that that fighter can't defend himself.
