After being inactive for 4 years, should Vitali Klischko have walked straight into a shot of the title or have beat a contender first.
Any thoughts.
4 year layoff is overrated in this case. Vitali's sparring partner is the #1 heavyweight in the world.
I think you would find out that you called everyone that didnt agree with your opinion of making Vitali the emeritius champion idiots.(Please refer to post 27)
I called you an idiot for calling people idiots, You kept harping on about what the emeritius means like you're the only one who understand what it stands for, WE ALL KNOW WHAT IT STANDS FOR mate...he just doesnt deserve to be GIVEN the status because he didnt do nothing for the WBC belt when he was the champ apart from lined the WBC crooks pocket with money.
Thats my and many peoples problem with it but i happy for us to see another talented HW in the division because the division is quite sad at the moment.
My OPINION about WBC making Vitali Champion Emeritus??? Haha its not my opinion pal. Its a fact. You you havent understood a word I've said have you?
This is a discussion forum where people disagree and agree with different post about different subjects, Your post about people "whining" because they comment on Vitali been given a status that he doesnt deserve is retarded.
People have the right to voice their own opinion without being called an idiot because of it, The WBC can do whatever they want to do but whats more pathetic is idiotic fans like you trying to sweep it under the carpet.
Thats true, this is what these forums are for debating boxing issues.
Anyone that doesnt want to discuss the thread should just stay clear of it.
Anyway ,This thread isnt about if Vitali has Emeritus status or not, more like should he still have it after being so inactive.

I think the problem is a lot of people are dissing vitali for being granted his status when its the wbc that should be dissed. obviously vitali is going to take the opportunity if he's given it. he'd be a fool otherwise. anyway,,,I still think he should retire and let his little bro try to unify. his injuries will likely come back even worse
Er dude, I think you'll find that YOU called ME an idiot and told me to STFU... so what do you call that??? Hypocracy? Not that I care in the slightest :)
So what is it exactly you're disagreeing with? The fact that WBC made VK Champion Emeritus? That by definition he's ENTITLED to a Title Shot? That there's nothing that's going to change it? These are FACTS.
If you got disagreements over results, fighters, styles, abilities, predictions etc then I got no problem with that, but this here is just whining about VK not deserving a title shot. It's got nothing to do with deserving it, he's ENTITLED to it as decreed by WBC years ago. Just get over it.

I dont care atleast we have some kind of descent talent fighting in heavyweights...The HW division sucks so bad I wouldnt care if butterbean rolled up and got a title shot....I would watch though...
even though he has been out for four years..everyone knows he has the best chance of beating peter!
plus he is a BIG name...he was the one who bully'd lennox lewis by backing him up and outsizing him...not man people get to say that(although lewis fucked his face up lol)
i think its just about putting the two biggest names(apart from wladimir)against each other for money, and fuck everyone else!

Happens all the time.. lots of guys get shots and seem to jump the queue.. Such is the politics of Boxing..
Exactly, I have disagreed with so many people about some many different post in the past but not once have i ever refer to someone else's opinion has idiotic or "Whining" like the poster refer to so many peoples post on here.
I dont mind been wrong but to protray people has idiot is out of line just because they dont share the same view as you.

I'd like to add that it's also quite possible for anyone to disagree without being a dickhead about it. I do it all the time. I probably disagree with about 75% of the users here, but rarely get into a pissing match with anyone, and then only if they're being an asshole to me without reason.

Thats exactly my point pal. This was a decision made AGES ago by WBC and only now all you morons start whining about it. I dont give a damn if he wins, loses or gets injured, but WBC gave him that status so thats the end of the argument so you can STFU. Or would you like to whine some more about "it's not fair" etc etc? Pathetic.

LOL for a minute there i thought you are serious.
I think you're the idiot mate, Everybody on here understand what the status stands for but whether Vitali deserve to be given that status is the issue, At 37 yrs of age with 4 years of inactivity i dont see anything to be happy about, He gets injured and gets fight put back and we're suppose to be grateful according to you???
Until he comeback and actually done something meaningful then please STFU.

I think the reason he was accuse of ducking Rahman was because he was calling Lewis out even though he claimed to be injured throughout the schedule fight with Rahman 4 different times.
Why call out lewis when you are also telling the world that you're injured and cant fight Rahman 4 different times.
I think he was just making some noise, like many fighters do. Also, he was, and probably still is, bitter over not getting a Lewis rematch....he wanted very badly to avenge that loss and was denied the opportunity because of Lewis' age, and his reluctance to decide on his retirement for what was it...18 months or better? Klitchko had, I think, 3 fights before Lewis announced retirement. And yeah, Vitali helped chase him into retirement, but a large part of it was just age and laziness (Lewis was always lazy and never trained more than he absolutely had to).
I've got to agree with you there. Back when the fight was scheduled and he tore his thigh muscle, everybody was accusing him of "ducking" Rahman....which is completely insane, he'd have beaten down Rahman inside of 5, in my opinion. There are few heavyweights that are as hittable as Hassim. I like the guy, I really do. He's a come-forward fighter with 1 punch KO power in both hands and is always exciting to watch, but he's not a match for Vitali even on his best day ever. Had Lewis not been such a dumbass during their first fight, The Rock probably wouldn't even be remembered by most, today. Their second fight he was all business and the fight went the way it was expected to.

the only possible danger anybody would face in a Vitali/Rahman fight would have been the spectators at ringside, when vitali would have put rahman through ropes again

What do you mean? He worked very hard for it! He lost a title fight! He won a vacant title! He defended it once against Danny Williams! He retired four times rather than face the dangerous Hasim Rahman!
LOL for a minute there i thought you are serious.
you people are pathetic. do you understand what champion emeritus means? no? then I'll expalin, it means that the WBC honoured it's champion and bestowed upon him the ability to come back and challenge for the title if he should choose. This happened FOUR YEARS AGO people. Why didnt you all go round to the WBC offices and campaign if you feel so strongly about it. Sorry but youre all idiots. Stop whinging and be thankful we've got a meaningful HW fight for the first time in ages.
