Mayweather may have one of the best boxing brains of all time. Roy Jones had more physical advantages and gifts. Ricardo Lopez was a better pure boxer. More technical and fundamentally sound (even more fundamentally sound than Mayweather.) But Floyd is very technical and physically gifted, not quite to the degree of the those two, but his boxing sense is his best gift. The only fighters who I can think of who look so smart in the ring are Hopkins, Robinson, Locche, Pepp, Monzon, de la Hoya, Loi, and of course Sweet Pea. Thats a pretty elite list. As far as his boxing brain and ring-generalship goes, I'd rate him Top 10 ever FOR THOSE CATAGORIES.

um, ricardo lopez is textbook technical boxing at highest, so no, mayweather is not the best in that.....floyd has many technical flaws..... mayweather is a pretty darn good blend of technical prominence AND athletic talent though.....thats what makes him good...

i honestly think maywethers natural athletic talent is grossly overrated......his strongest points are stamina and brains by a looooot... i think Floyds natural athletic ability is overrated too he is not a huge hitter and he is not as quick p4p as prime Jones ,Mosley but what makes him the best fighter ever talentwise is his ring generalship,technique,skill,defence and his intelligence he is easily the best technical fighter ever
