"I am very proud and very happy I was able to give the fans a great fight," Cotto said. "Life continues. It's not over for me. I'm going to take a long rest, decide what to do next. This night was Margarito's night. He's an excellent fighter. He did his job better than I did."
Couldn't be more proud to be a boxing fan after the professionalism and sheer guts that these two guys displayed in and out of the ring tonight. It is a very very good time to be a boxing fan

but not a Cotto fan I guess. wow, their world has come crashing down. can't believe anybody thought this guy had a chance against Floyd. Floyd would dust both these guys and it's never been clearer than it is now
this is from ESPN.com... somebody obviously interviewed him. He was crying too, so its perfectly understandable that he didnt want to get in front of an HBO camera
cotto pulling a kermit cintron?
Cotto is extremely classy, and i'm sure he'll be back and he'll have a fan in me no matter what I'll always root for him. If he does have a rematch clause I hope he'll take it and I'll root for him for the win. He is still a champion in my eyes and will always be.
u kidding me? of coarse it is! That was sick fuckin nasty. Maybe im just really pumped right now, i will watch it again tommorow. Instant Classic though obviously
I agree I thought it was a fantastic fight. Not sure if it will end up getting FOTY but still, a great fight that lived up to expectation.

Did he fax this speech in? send it by carrier pigeon? Because dude was nowhere in the vicinity of the HBO cameras or microphones.

According to the usual clowns on this site Cotto is a classless sore loser because he didn't conduct a post fight interview.
Sad that people actually think like that.
Cotto was very classy in defeat, gave Margarito nothing but respect and took his loss like a man. That's why he's one of the best in the biz. He comes to fight every time and doesn't make excuses.
I would take anything Dios has to say on the subject with a pinch of salt. He is a knowledgable poster but he lets himself down with attention seeking comments like the one you have mentioned.
