2 years from now, who will be P4P #1?

It should be one of the Ring's current top 10. Cotto and Pavlik are great candidates because not a lot of fighter poses threat against them.

That would be one of these: 1) A returning Mayweather 2) A sticking around Pac-man 3) Miguel Cotto 4) An ancient (but not retired) Calzaghe Cotto is probably the best pick, if we rule out Mayweather calzaghe? the best 2 fighters that he has faced and will face are 43 year old hopkins and 40 jones. I would assume that he would choose better competition than that after the boxing world would dog him for having a TERRIBLE resume. and he would fool himself into picking a fight against someone like dawson or pavlik and get his ass handed to him. no way calzaghe EVER makes #1 on the p4p list.

On the balance of probabilities I would say Floyd Mayweather. I think it is highly unlikely that two years will pass without him returning to the ring and I think that he would beat Miguel Cotto if he was to fight him. If he does this I think he would be back at the top of the p4p list. If not Floyd, I would say either Pac, Mijares or Cotto.

I think Mayweather will be. Berto is my dark horse and take a look at Pavlik, if he beats RJJ than calzaghe than he may be up their..

Pac will still be up there, but Cotto will be in the discussion.

Pacman still... 2 years isn't too far away and after he loses to ODLH he'll hopefully clear out some of the big lightweight or light welterweight names and Cristian Mijares, Jorge Linares, Juan Manuel Lopez and Miguel Cotto/Paul Williams(but not both!) will all be up there too

Floyd Mayweather jr. He'll be back, we all know it, i'm not much of a fan, but he will come back and prove he is one of the greatest boxers in history. I'm not a nut hugger, just a fan, an English fan. I actually prefer Cotto as a fighter but Mayweather knows what he is doing, give it 1-3 years, he WILL be back. :boxing: I don't like his arrogance, but we all have to admit, noone in the world comes close.
