If Floyd came back now and was classed as an active fighter who would you have at the top of your list?
Would Mannys performance last night put him to your number one or would Floyd be sitting pretty at the top?

I love how everyone is all on Manny's cock now that he beat a bum, but he lost to Mrquez and now wants no part of him. And it would be a joke what Floyd would do to him in a fight.
Huh?? Did Marquez, whom everyone considered a highly technically boxer, ever soundly defeat Pacman, the brawler who has slowly been transformed into a more complete fighter?
you still think of Floyd? the coward? afraid of losing his "0"?

:slap: Pac won.
If he hasnt fought anyone to solidify that we should put him back to his previous position then how can we measure how good he still is? through inactivity? we have no idea, which is exactly why we cant just hand him a p4p spot.
Yea I suppose.
I think Mayweather is the better fighter and would beat Pac at any weight. At the lower weights Floyd can do pretty much everything Pac can do and more besides. It would be a good fight though.
This is why I thought it was a good question. Everybody saying Floyd would need to prove himself again, BUT.....all of those people know it would only take one fight for him to be numero uno again!
Pac is the man right now. He coulda been moved up while PBF was there and I wouldn't have argued too much. If PBF comes back and decisively beats the Cotto-Tony winner, then the debate is on.
PBF won't come back anymore! He's just afraid to lose! He knows his competition is getting much tougher!
It doesn't matter who's fought and beat who, or who has ducked who. P4P is basically who is the better fighter at any given weight. It doesn't matter if he's officially retired or not. Basically if he came back right now do you think he's a better fighter than Pacquiao?
Last night Manny showed us all that he is a far better boxer than a lot of people thought he was. I think he would beat Floyd @ 130 & 135 and lose @ 140 & 147.

But you don't earn it. It's not a league.
It's an opinion based list as to who you think are the best active fighters.
Just because Floyd has retired he's not lost his skill or talent. So if he came back he all of a sudden isn't as good of a fighter as he used to be??

If you vacated a belt and retired, then un-retired and the belt was still vacant, would it just be given back to you?
No.
Same goes for P4P rankings.
Floyd has to earn it again.

After dominating his weight division at 130 lbs, Pacman moved up to the LW division and picked for his first fight not merely a contender but a reigning champion, then finishes him off with a devastating KO. Therefore, he deserves to be #1.
If PBF returns to the ring, he must prove himself once again to earn the #1 spot.

that wasnt the question.

Floyd, assuming he schedules a fight with Cotto or another legit top contender.
If he just became active and didnt set up any fights, his inactivity would hurt his case.
Floyd would be inactive for a year considering last time he fought was December and would proberbly fight again in Nov, Pac-man has beaten Marquez and moved up in weight to dominate Diaz so Pac-man. It's more Mayweather's fault he isn't P4P 1 if he returned rather than Manny's work although it helps.
I would probably wait until after Floyd fought to rank him again if he fought some bum he would prolly be 2 or 3 if he fought a top opponent he could regain number 1 status. Pac has it mostly because Floyd retired but he has it now and you can not just take it away from him, he has earned his spot.
