Forgot to mention this when i posted the RJJ thread earlier.
This should be an excellent fight, for as good as Taylor has been im not sure he will ever be the fighter he was before he met Pavlik.
For me I think the power of the Cobra would be too much for Taylor and i predict a late KO, round 9 or onwards.
you're right, he won't be the fighter he was before pavlik....he'll be better. he fought much better in the 2nd pavlik fight and I suspect that we'll see much of the same if not hungrier taylor at super middleweight. I do predict a trilogy to pavlik-taylor at super mw in the future after taylor takes over that division and than pavlik finally can't make weight at 160 and moves up.
They both suffered very bad beatings by the hands of far better fighters. One was saved by the bell, the other was saved from exiting the ring by the turnbuckle:boxing:
Hatton took a 3 round beating. 8, 9 and 10 were the only really dominating rounds for Floyd. This was a fight where Hatton stepped up in weight and was expected to lose.
Lacy was heir apparent to the throne in a fight he was expected to destroy an old champion. He took a 12 round beating. Absolute massacre. If his corner had any compasssion, they would've stopped it after about 9
You say Lacy I say Hatton,at least Lacy took his beating like a man and didn't bounce off the ring post like a pin ball!
Lacy took a much bigger beating than Hatton ever did.

Dude Lacy looked terrible for 12 rounds, every round.
He landed about 1 out of every 2000 punches :D
Come on, how can you say that? Hes undefeated with several devestating KOs. We wont know till he fights somebody world class
H'es world class that's no doubt, but what will happen is Hamed-Barrera and he will recieve a consistant Beating at the hands of someone like Pavlik who has the basics down. So what I meant by saying he's shit is that he's going to waste all that talent because his style will get him a severe beating.
Froch is shit.... I think that's the first time i've ever said that about a fighter

Froch does hang his left hand awfully low but Taylor hasnt ever knocked out anyone significant in his whole career.
Froch needs a big fight. At 31, he's running short on time. Hes been patient and I think he'd be well up for this fight. Im leaning towards Carl by KO.
Do you really want to see another overrated British fighter lose to the superior American?:joke:
Its a fair point to address before all this starts in earnest.
Carl Froch is not overrated. He has a small fanbase of followers who see a lot of potential in him.
I am joking.I would like to see the fight also.If Carl Froch lands,Taylor will most likely go down. The only thing I question about Foch is his defense:boxing:
Same here. He's quite old but young in his career as well.

It's interesting you should say that, because I want to see if he is overated or not. I've only seen 3 of his fights and he looked very good, he has amazing devastating power.
22 wins / 18 KO's that's a pretty high percentage of total KO's.
