and it convinced me to buy PACQUIAO-DIAZ.
I was against this fight being PPV and still am, but u just gotta watch Pacquiao fight, he is un-missable.
That 2nd Marquez fight was unbelievable. I doubt they meet a 3rd time but i really hope they do. Both are legends, having fought in the golden era of their divisions.
ha ha ha what a loser.
nacho is a great boxing trainer but he's made some dumb mistakes.
how juan ma could ever turn down $750K is beyond me.
And he's a dumb manager, Arum is genius by making Pac-Morales fight that cost millions of PPVs on his pocket.
To be excact, it was 33k but he has to travel all the way to kuala lumpur just to be screwed by the judges, at least according to his fans... and there were about ten of them lol.

only $30k? that low?
i heard $70k. maybe $70k was the purse bid and $30k was juan ma?
that's crazy low.To be excact, it was 33k but he has to travel all the way to kuala lumpur just to be screwed by the judges, at least according to his fans... and there were about ten of them lol.
he got outboxed the majority of the rounds after the 2nd. still could've gone either way. the big 1st round killed juan ma though and i had manny squeak it out.
officially though it should've been a win because the judge didn't know how to score 3 knockdowns and admitted he made a mistake after the fact.
juan ma screwed up big time by not taking the immediate rematch. manny didn't improve his game 'til after the 1st erik fight and juan ma would've beaten manny if they rematched right away like intended.
......his dumb ass also would've made $750k instead of $70k when he lost to chris john. he also would've ended up getting big money fights with erik instead of manny getting erik. nacho's mistake screwed him out of a lot of money.
Its 30K not 70K
50 bucks is too much. The fight has to really be significant to me, and this one isnt that important that I would throw down 50 just to see it in better quality.
I disagree.
I think Barrera was at his best at 122. The Pac that was badly dropped by Nedal Hussein. Would get beatin by the Barrera that beat Morales in their first fight Imo.
Barrera was DQ because his cornerman went to the ring against Jones, but u can see clearly that Barrera was KO/TKO. Against Pac at 122, the fight would end the same at 122 around 7-9 roundsl. From observing Pac's fight, he hits harder at 122.

i dunno...... barrera was at his best at 122 but a bad matchup didn't stop him from losing to junior jones. some guys are just bad matchups for people even though the guy might be much better.
remember the manny that got caught by hussein wasn't prime either. there's physical prime and technical prime. manny's technical prime came after the 1st erik fight. notice how after that fight he started hurting people with his right like he never did before? the manny that koed marco wasn't even the best manny imo look how much better he did boxing juan ma than the 1st time. the best manny was during the 2nd erik fight. before that he was so uncoordinated and didn't use his right hand. the manny we're seeing now is showing wear and tear and is at the start of the downside of his career. i wouldn't be surprised if manny starts losing his fights in coming year or two.
Are you high? Have you actually seen the first fight? He got outboxed every round after the 2nd
No way. Pacquiao landed his left hand through rounds 7-10 and clearly did more damage in each of those rounds. No way did I see Marquez winning that fight. I think I had it 116-109. Very lopsided fight that looked a lot closer than it was. Like Tuaman says, people saw Marquez survive round one and were like, "Oh, he's fighting back, he MUST be winning." Not the case at all.

Barrera was just unprepared for a tough fight that night.:nonono:
he was unprepared and he did have distractions. he also probably took manny lightly. (shit! all i was hoping for was he make a good showing and hold his own. i thought he'd lose , i just hope he'd do okay , get his money , get his name out there and go back to 122 where he's still ibf champ. i was in for a surprise......)
that said , manny is a bad matchup for marco. not saying better just a bad matchup. i think manny is much better than juan ma too but juan ma is a bad matchup for manny and manny is lucky to be 1-0-1 against juan ma. he could easily be 1-1-0 or even 0-2-0 against juan ma. though you can say manny should be 2-0 against him as well.
even if marco was younger it wouldn't have helped. besides the younger marco would have slugged it out with manny......that wouldn't have been good marco.
Pacquiao won both fights. He won the first fight big and the second fight by a point.
Are you high? Have you actually seen the first fight? He got outboxed every round after the 2nd
SO... how'd ga score it?
i keep seeing it marquez!
the trick is to watch it (bypass the highlights and watch it with no commentary) and only judge the definite rounds. the close rounds that you feel could go either way for the judges set it aside. then split the even rounds between manny and juan. also do it twice more giving all the close rounds to one and then to the other.
now you can see how manny could have won it and you see how juan could have won it as well.
without judging round by round the 1st time i saw it , live at my house party , i thought juan manuel pulled it off but it was close. i think manny's reputation hurts him a bit when judging his fights. we're so used to seeing manny hurt and ko his opponents so when he doesn't hurt them or knock them down or ko them , the audience feels like he's not winning or doing well. it's the difference watching those 2 go at it. when they're boxing it looks like juan is doing so much better than he is and manny looks like he's doing worse than he is.
but when i watched it on tape and scored round by round i had it 114-113 for manny but i had 2 rounds that i just wasn't sure about and thought could go either way.
when people talk about robbery , they're talking out of their ass. deep down unless they're stupid they know it was a close fight that could've gone either way.
Marquez and Barerra are to Pac what Frazier and Foreman were to Ali. Ali made Foreman look silly but Frazier couldnt beat Foreman if his life depended on it. Frazier gives Ali all he can handle everytime out though
Marquez in reality couldnt beat Barerra if his life depended on it. Pacquiao makes Barerra look like childs play. But Marquez gives Pacquiao fits everytime the hook up
gotta disagree with your analysis. if we are gonna take the ali comparison.
barrera is liston.
morales is frazier.
marquez is norton.
barrera was great and was still close to prime the 1st time but manny is a bad style matchup for him. both in their prime i still think manny ko's him , especially the young barrera who would have slugged it out with manny.
morales was also a great and gives manny the toughest fights. i know manny koed him the last 2 fights but you know in his prime those 2 would have beat each other badly much like the 1st fight.
marquez is norton. a good fighter but not great that is a bad matchup for manny who is a much greater fighter. none will say norton was greater than ali but looking at those 3 norton-ali fights......some could say ken won all of them.
man easy on the bias mexican. he is a former boxer. he knows what he is talking about. i just hope his head wasn't banged too much for giving out shitty reasonings.
ferocity? LOL what the fuck have you been smoking? :D
