Whos buying the Casamayor-Marquez PPV?

Boxrec has Casamayor fighting Juan Diaz on Sep 13, but nothing about Marquez.

Casamayor and Marquez have been in some great fights. They've also been in some certified stinkers. When these two counterpunchers face other counterpunchers, it usually ends up being a stinker. Golden Boy Promotions, who have brought you some of the most absurd PPVs in recent memory, Hopkins-Wright and the recently cancelled Judah-Mosley card, are now asking you to shell out 50 bucks to see two non-aggressive fighters past their prime go at it. I wonder what the undercard is going to look like, Fres Oquendo versus Sultan Ibragimov? How about Cory Spinks-Joachin Alcine? This would be a very interesting fight if not for the unnecessary price tag. That we have to pay for it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. this fight is made? very tough fight for Marquez but what a great tactical battle it will be

This was never really true. You had various belts back then like the NBA (WBA now) and NYASC's belt. If you were the number 1 contender you didn't really get a shot because of the Mafia. Luckily The Ring cleared that mess up by making the policies they have today. And he didn't even want to fight JMM..... they fought because JMM conceeded all kinds of shit for Pac to fight him the second time..... he had to. don't make it sound like he had a choice in the matter. if you want to fight the bigger name then you have to concede stuff. didn't manny's old promoter concede to wear winning gloves instead of cleto-reyes to fight erik the 1st time? besides what's juan's excuse for turning down the immediate rematch at 126? didn't he turn down $500-750K or something like that and ended up fighting for $70K with john? manny is not to blame for nacho's shortcomings as a manager or nacho's disagreement with arum.

Manny didn't have a featherweight belt either...... besides @ 130 he had been fighting for almost 3 years that's where we disagree. i value a ring belt more than an ABC belt. let's just wait how his career plays out. if after getting the 135 belt and he still fights the solis and velazquez of the world then we can criticize him. come on you make him sound like floyd jr. he's not that bad and i don't think floyd was as awful as most make him out to be anyway. there's so many fighters out there. we can't expect a fighter in this day and age to fight all of them. even if he jumped to 135 to fight juan diaz , the marquez guys will say he's ducking him or even the valero and guzman guys. he can't win. it's not like the old days. in the old days there's 1 belt and 1 #1 contender. now theres the wbc , wba , ibf , wbo , ring champs and wbc , wba , ibf , wbo and ring #1 contenders. that's a possible 10 champs and #1 contenders in each division! and what about the guys rated #2 or #3 in each org and the ring? it's hard to fight everybody. let's just see david as what he is. a good test at 135 and a belt. hopefully we'll get to see guzman , juan , juanma , joel , etc. at 135 after that.
