Can Margarito even beat Quintana?

Quintana would probably win the early rounds with lateral movement and counter punching but i feel after the early rounds Margarito's pressure, body punching and high workrate will slow him down and will eventually stop him.

Quintana has some pretty good boxing skills but just cant take a punch, theirs no way he should of lost to Williams the way he did! Paul is not even known for his power. Anyways he might outbox Margarito for the 1st couple minutes but after a few combinations Quintana would be out of their. How about Quintana vs Cintron?

Could he land the accurate punches and lay the smackdown on Quintana like Cotto did OR would he suffer the same fate his taller buddy Paul Williams suffered and get outboxed and out maneuvered for 12 rounds. After all, Paul Williams has more game then Margarito since he looked like a decent boxer against Margarito in some of the rounds, particulary the 12th. And he couldn't do it. Margarito has only one game in his arsenal and is slower then The Punisher. My vote is a NO. Margarito wanted to fight Quintanna after his win over Julio, but Quintanna and people didn't like the idea of fighting Margarito. Question is will Quintanna fight Margarito?

It's interesting because Quintana should be able to win with his better boxing ability and him being a southpaw, but I'm not really convinced he can take it to the body. Cotto and Williams both bothered Quintana with it. However if Quitana is constantly moving and he should be able to be Margarito by a close UD.

Also, Margarito would definitely KO Quintana.

I think Margarito has a good chance. But we'll get a better look after this weekend. Quintana faded against PW and if that was Margarito he would've been in big trouble. If Margarito can keep up what he did in the first 5ish rounds for the full 12, then Quintana has a very good chance of winning.

Styles make fights. Carlos wouldn't do as well against Marg as he did Williams. Marg might not own him but yeah he could beat him.

nah, quintana fades - and he looks like hes not coupled with the heart to stand up to a man like margarito. quintana would look excellent in some spurts - but i don't think that his boxing ability could withstand margarito's pressure. margarito would end up winning it - i'm thinking via ref stoppage with quintana almost being put out on his feet. now where are my fukken keys.

Quintana is VERY underrated. I expect him to cruise to a UD against Williams. Margarito would have some trouble with Quintanas movement but Quintana would eventually give in to the Tijuana Tornados non stop pressure. Quintana is a very good boxer with good power, people underestimate his abilities because of the beating he took from Miguel Cotto. Margarito can't do what Cotto did to him, he's too slow and his punches are to wide he would get countered all night and most of his punches would hit nothing but air. Quintana has enough power to keep Margarito off of him, if he is in shape and can keep this up for 12 rounds he would win by UD.
