how can u be P4P when u are retired huh ,is'nt Floyd Mayweather retired if thats the case he aint P4P King is he so there is an open slot for Pac or Zag ,Floyd cant have it both ways he cant say he is retired then cherry pick who he wants to come out of retirement and fight and still be considered P4P King surely
it is a helluva a way of avoiding fighters u dont wanna fight & a good way of not having to fight actively and make lots of cash
just playing devils advocate here
Err.
Why does Floyd get so much flak for fighting De La Hoya.
I would venture De La Hoya to be favored against
any welterweight other than Cotto. That leaves me to wonder the logic in some peoples arguments.
A boxer said he is retired or retiring?? SHOCKING!!
The real question is: What is his motive, or reason for claiming he is "retired" after every fight? How does that benefit him, other than avoiding certain challenges by stated "im retired"
Who is better than de la Hoya?
Is this a serious question?
Does that mean you want to strip Hatton of his top ten ranking? He is fighting lightweights. And making plans for featherweights.
Absofu$%inglutely.
Nothing has been signed as of yet. As a matter of fact, the word is, they are having a hard time getting Floyd to sign the contract. A few weeks ago, Floyd was on a radio station, and stated that he is retired from boxing because he no longer wants to deal with the stress associated with it. These are words that came directly out of his own mouth.
are you really buying it lol the fight is happening. There is no one pulling out of that paycheck.
how can you be retired and have a fight scheduled in a few months :ugh:

He is fighting de la Hoya in September. :ugh:
ant that why he should not be considered P4P anymore because he is pretending he is retired so he can avoid fighters and make lots a cash

Sitting on your wins doesn't cut it and it doesn't guarantee you can't get ktfo in your next fight. He dares compare himself to Robinson and I bet some of you here are even foolish enough to accept it. He's created such a myth of invincibility that he doesn't need to fight for people to accept him as better than anyone he'll face. He's won before even signing a contract.
All he really has to do to sustain his status is to fuel the public's praise by putting on an excellent performance every couple of years and he's back on top for a couple more. Quite franlkly it's marketing ingenuity
You bring a good point because Pacman has faced the best in his division. So did Zaghe even when he moved up, yet Floyd has failed to do that.
i say get him off your p4p lists and watch how fast how he comes outta retirement ,if he is still viewed as the best p4p fighter while inactive he will continue to rape Boxing fans for PPV Money & avoid legit challengers
p4p number zero when u are retired in my book
