most certainly is, but i must say sometimes he is to defensive minded in the last few years of his career. earlier on he was a joy to watch.

Ring generalship - At times he'll sit on the ropes, but he always knows where he is and where he'll end up. (A-) Stamina - Stamina has never been an issue. (A) Power - He was never a big puncher, but has more po than given credit for. Punch accuracy and accumulation is what usually gets his guy out of there though. (B) Speed - May not be the fastest guy overall, but he's right up there with the best. (A+) Offense - Doesn't throw as many punches as he use to, but his accuracy and pin point precision are unmatched. (A-) Defense - Forget about it! Nobody has done it better since Pernell Whitaker. He is head and shoulders above anybody in this dept (A+) Durability - Has had hand problems in the past and doesn't/didn't fight to often. But this can be said of many fighters. (B) I highly doubt there is a MORE complete fighter in the sport today.

!! Shawn thinks because hes a sole counter puncher.. he doesnt use his jab effectively, and he doesnt pressure you.. that hes not a complete fighter... chime in !! shawn we all know your watching... I think thats a falsehood because Floyd can lead when he needs to (yet another trait that makes him a complete fighter). If someone is trying to wait him out he will take the initiative and engage the battle as evidenced in the mid rounds of the DLH fight. IMO the reason he counters so much is that it makes the fight easier for him because 1. he can see the punches coming and know where the openings are rather than guess when he leads and 2. he is a smart fighter who tends to pick up patterns during the fight as evidenced by the picture perfect checkhook he landed on Hatton if Floyd isn't complete then no one is.

I feel Floyd lacks power and the offensive arsenal that would make him a "complete" fighter.

Pretty damn complete. What he lacks in power at the higher weights, he makes up for in being fast and accurate enough to pinpoint his punches. He doesn't always use all his tools, guess he isn't always challenged enough to need to.

The most complete fighter I am pretty surprised that this question is being asked. He has the best defense we have seen in years (possibly ever), insane speed, lands punches from every distant and angle, and he keeps his eyes open and on his opponent at all times. I really don't even like the guy that much, but it is hard to argue against the fact that he is the most complete fighter out there. I can however knock on him for the De La Hoya rematch. For him to be have a shot at top 10 greatness he needs to beat Cotto and maybe someone else. He is a complete fighter but he has yet to show heart, chin etc because his skills are and defense are so great that he never has to rely on those things.

But, if he hasn't needed to do that yet, then you really don't know if he's able to beat a guy on his level, but as quick as him, or quick enough to stop those hooks. I'm not saying he doesn't have a jab, he jabs to the body a lot. But this isn't about how great he is. He's great, I won't argue that. It's about how complete he is, and like ALL fighters, he isn't complete. No fighter is. Re-read my post I said he used it and I gave you 2 examples of when he did use it. PBF is not as purely talented as someone like RJJ with retarded speed and reflexes. You could see that Judah was faster (at least initially) than PBF. He also used it in the Corley fight. He also used it in the Hernadez fight.

Every fighter has their flaws.. even the greatest. I guess you guys want to hear that Floyd walks on water from everybody.. Fact is, he has only fought two top 10 ranked opponents since he has been in the division. If your not fighting the best then it's easy to not expose your flaws. And don't give me that Oscar or Hatton bullshit because everyone knows for one that Oscar is old and now you see that because he couldn't even put a bum like Forbes away. And Hatton is one dimensional. Stepping in with his arms down expecting not to get hit in the face.. You can disect any fighters' opponents to discredit them one way or another but that wasn't what I was focusing on.
