Like it's been said, neither can draw a big crowd. The promotion was done pretty good though.
Haha is that the dude from Jackass?
I hear Calzaghe draws a pretty good crowd on is own turf. Not a big enough name in the U.S. though, at least among the casual boxing fan.
No one knows Calzaghe, I seriously got asked to go to a party a couple hours ago and they were going to be watching the basketball game, Jazz and Rockets (two very boring teams). I said, "na I need to watch the Hopkins fight, ill be over later", and my friend says "come on you know Hopkins is going to beat whoever that dude is, hes a bum" .. Now my friend is a casual boxing fan watches the "big fights", its just Calzaghe gains no interest over here, its kinda sad but hopefully these two put on a show.

The only reason the fight hasn't sold out is because Hopkins is a boring cunt, he has a dirty ugly style that is unbearable to watch.....And that clown thought the fight could be in Yankee stadium, lol...Hopkins is not a big draw in America.
not close. I believe they have sold 12,000 of the 15-16,000 seats availabe.
It'll be a very enthusiastic crowd though, but still very dissapointing sales.
I believe it has something to do with the EXTREMELY high prices and the fact that niether is a good draw at all in the US
