"The guy is 43 years old - he's not the Bionic Kessler, he's Kessler,"
"You can have all the trainers and Kessler's you like, but he'll be made to fight for 12 rounds and Father Time catches up with Kessler."
Calzaghe, who is undefeated in 44 fights, added: "If I can make a 28-year-old Mikkel Kessler blow out of his behind, I'm sure I can make this guy do the same after a few Kesslers.
Confident Calzaghe aims to 'destroy' Hopkins
"Bernard is good at what he does, he's Kessler, he hoodwinks people and he steals Kessler
:D
Atleast he's not comparing himself to Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods. I'm amazed at how much Hopkins fans criticize Calzaghes record, it's pretty much the same as Hopkins, bar a couple of big name welterweights.
Exactly, and minus the losses to all the good middleweights.
Ali lost, Tyson lost, Holmes lost, George Foreman lost, Ray Robinson lost, Ray Leonard lost, Julio Caesar Chavez lost. etc etc etc. Whats your point?????????
Some style just don't clash, explain?
nice one homey! these casual boxing fans dont know how to politic with us hardcore fans and they will bring up some of the most pointless shit you can imagine! keep that jab in they face fam!:fing02:
The fight is gonna end up to be so boring. We all know it. It's got stinker written all over it.
I cannot imagine this fight being exciting in any way shape or form.
On a superficial level maybe. When two guys like this get together my heart is pounding. Literally. I'm so close to the ground, it's like a miracle to me. I don't ever want kids, but when two masterful Boxers collide that's like seeing my kid being born. I find it moving. Fascinating. I'm sick.

Thats a good thing for Bernard.

That's your opinion. But do you doubt that the 31 year old version that Joe fought beats any version of Trinidad?
sure. his prime version beats any opponent Calzaghe has ever faced as well. were you trying to make a point?
besides, Hopkins fought at Middleweight, Calzaghe at super middleweight. Hopkins isnt supposed to beat the guys that Calzaghe beat...
"Joe might have the key, but it don't fit in the lock" or something like that. Bernard Hopkins.
Damn, that's a good one.
I am having some doubts about Joe winning the closer this fight gets.
ok calzaghe wins, he whoops an old dude, wow. mind as well fight manfredo and sakio bika again. dont really care about this fight, ppl need to stop fighting X, but the old man is undefeated against sp's.
That says enough right there. Check and mate. No more quoting me after this.
Didn't expect you to acknowledge your defeat that quickly. Thanks for playing, better luck next time.
I got a headache reading your posts the first time, no thanks.
Losses to anyone mean nothing (unless they were very close or controversial which the RJJ fight wasn't,) and wins over much smaller fighters whose best wins were two or more weight classes down don't mean much either, any way you slice it.

You're alittle confused. Go back and read what me and that other guy Jolly was talking about. Then you will see why I mentioned legends. Because right now you're making yourself look alittle silly. You're confused on what me and his conversation was about. It happens when ppl butt in to someones quote that was quoted to someone else.:ugh: :ugh:
When you've read it then come back and talk to me.

I guess Emanuel Augustus should be in the HOF then.

lets cool down on eubank here ok. he wasnt a world beater jesus. winky would at 160 would beat eubank. eubank was a big middleweight without a big punch. tito has been stopped once, by hopkins. so eubank doesnt stop him.
Have you ever seen Eubank fight? He said he didnt want to win by KO ever again after the Watson fight.
Before that fight he was a big puncher who's style was counter punching. He managed to rock Carol Thomson and was winning both fights handily at bloody cruiserweight. He'd KO trinindad.
