Four of the best light-heavyweights fighting on one weekend. Two meaningful matches that can determine what happens in the lhw division, all four fighters are highly skilled. HBO only has one meaningful match (Margarito vs Cintron) and both fighters are not highly skilled, at worse it may end up being boring, the other fight is a mismatch. Obviously the Showtime card is better, but I have to watch HBO since I don't have Showtime. I heard their is a way you can order Showtime for one day only, is that possible?
Yeah...I'm a cheap Canadian, so I'll be watching the replay on the local sports channel next week. I'm not paying $3 for Tarver Woods. I'll probably watch Gatti Ward I again. Then drink.
I have both channels and am going to be watching hbo because they have way better announcers and showtime has shittier fights this weekend. I already know tarver is probably going to win, and glen johnson is going to probably get his ass spanked by the younger chad dawson*now that would be a huge upset if chad loses*
Cotto's my favorite fighter, and I only have HBO, so I'm gonna watch that. Either way though, I would watch the HBO card, simply because I think the fights will be better.
It's so simple. Watch the first fight on Showtime, switch over to HBO in an hour, then when that is done watch the second Showtime fight on DVR. No reason why anyone can't see three of the four fights live.
I agree. This is a no brainer. I've seen Tarver fight 5 times and it's been 5 times too many. Although I'm intrigued by Dawson-Johnson, HBO is the place to be on Saturday night!
the way roy was against Ruiz i give him a chance against the Lewis that fought Klitschko
small chance. but still a chance.
seeing him get clocked by antonio's left makes me shudder at the thought of a lewis' right with 245 lbs. behind it though...... :-(
a lost to lewis for $$$ would've been preferable to a lost to a mediocre tarver that just had roy's number or caught roy at the end of his prime or fought a weight drained roy or all of the above.
i have both.
i'll be watching the welters.
the light heavyweight division has been dead to me since roy was no longer top dog.
dammit roy! should've retired after you beat ruiz and cashed in on $15-20 mil. for losing to lennox which really isn't much of a loss......
