I watched this fight 4x so far and i come to the same conclusion that Juan beat Manny.
Then there goes the how factor:
The 12 round in my opinion is what won that fight and look at how marquez neutralizes manny's left hand and make him stumble twice. Goin in to that round the fight was even...how did Marquez lose???????
JMM obviously did not clearly beat Pac otherwise he would've gotten the decision... all we can say is that it was a close fight and that Pac was given the decision.
what was disgusting is that the judge who had the deciding score scored the 12 th round to JMM. i know it wouldnt have made a difference but his judgement can come into question based off of that alone.
Huh??? Im not exactly following you bro. I dont get what point you are trying to make. That the last judge scoring the 12th rd to marquez shouldnt have given it to Marquez?? or that he gave the 12th rd to marquez and still had him coming up short?
I agree, I've seen it four times as well, I scored 115-112 Marquez three times, the other was 114-113 Marquez, in my eyes, thats the closest I saw the fight for Manny. How the hell do you fight 24 rounds, loose 6 of them and still loose? Christmas came ealry to the Philipines this year. Oh, well, gonna go get me a TUNA sandwhich.
p.s. Who knows what entrace music these two came out to?
:boxing:
Exactly the same way i had it. You could make an argument for rds5 and7. What surprised me after re-watching it tho is that 2 of the official fight judges gave the 8th rd to Pacquiao even tho on tv it was clearly Marquez's best round of the fight. Goes to show that different perspectives especially at ringside gives you a totally different outcome.

Didn't score the fight live....just enjoyed it.
I rewatched two days after and here's what I got.
Round 1: 10-9 Pacquiao (Pac connected more punches)
Round 2: 10-9 Marquez (JMM buckled Pacquiao late)
Round 3: 10-8 Pacquiao (KD)
Round 4: 10-9 Pacquiao (This rd was even but I gave it to Pac)
Round 5: 10-9 Marquez (Another even rd, gave it to JMM)
Round 6: 10-9 Marquez (Definitely a JMM round)
Round 7: 10-9 Marquez (Close but gave it to Marquez)
Round 8: 10-9 Marquez (One-eyed Pac, JMM dominates)
Round 9: 10-9 Pacquiao (Close but gave it to Pac)
Round 10: 10-9 Pacquiao (Pac dominates this one)
Round 11: 10-9 Pacquiao (even fight gave it to Pac)
Round 12: 10-9 Marquez (even fight gave it to JMM)
Total: 114-113 Pacquiao

i scored it a draw. JMM didnt lose much stock witht his loss though. he needs to play it smart from now on and not let Nacho make stupid decisions. Id love to see him take on Chris John and avenge the gift they gave to Chris.

I'm sure you'll have a bunch of people who agree with you with solid arguments but then again, others who saw the fight just as many times may have come to different conclusions. It was a close fight that I did not score and honestly did not know who won till the score cards were read. It was a close fight.
