It was an extremely close fight, I had it 114-113 Pacquiao. I thought he landed the cleaner shots, scored with his jabs, and topped it all of with a knockdown. Marquez counterpunched brilliantly and is more skilled than Pacquiao, but he didn't control the fight in any way.
I must of saw a different fight Marquez had his moments but got rocked and was back peddling in several rounds. Laid on his ass in round 3 got lucky not to lose and extra point for the ropes holding him up. I think people wanted to see Marquez win but he lost a close fight, keep crying Pac wins!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought it could have gone either way.
Compubox numbers shouldn't be looked into too deeply since judging is based on rounds.
For example, you get win the first round with 100-0 punches, then lose the next eleven 0-1 and the total punch stats would be 100-11 and you would be the loser.
according to compubox, he did. more punches, more jabs, more power punches, and all to the best percentage.
Didn't catch all the stats but i belived Pac landed more jabs than JMM.
Big Babies!! This was no robbery. This was as close a fight . Alot of the rounds could go either way. Too many close round and some where decisive, but some of them weren't. Personally I had it a draw and I kinda wish it were so we can have another fight between these 2. But i can see it going both ways. Good fight either way.
I had Pac winning 115-114, but I think I will have a diffirent card once I review the fight more in depth. It was probably closer, but I think Pacquiao won the fight with the more effective punches, and his overall activity.
J.M.M counter punching, will, heart, withstood the small Pacman burts which looked flashy but Marquez was controlling him with that right hand 4 12 rounds
ah boxing.
when are you guys going to remember that its all about the $$$.
it doesnt matter who really won, just who more of you guys are willing to pay to see "fight" again.
