Tyson had a gd chin?

He had a great chin. Took tremendous shots against LL and still didnt go until 8th round. Where as Golota against LL he folded easily. In his early days he hardly got hit though, though it wouldnt have mattered that much if he did get tagged as he could take it. That 19 inch neck must have been useful for something other than wearing big necked dress shirts.

Does anyone think tyson had a gd chin? because he will not rearly knocked out cold in his career and he was only 5'11 besides buster douglas who did ko mike but mike did get back up there hasnt rearly been anyone that has proper hurt mike? i think he had a great chin Yup I think he had a great chin, probs helped that he didnt have a neck :boxing:

very good chin. you would never see Tyson get KO'd in 1 or 2 rounds.

Iron Maleek Abdul Aziz had a good chin. His ko issues came from lack of training and accumulation of punches. when people fight back, bullies have a tendancy to back down.

Tyson would have gotten up but wouldn't have lasted much longer, that uppercut that he got hit with was brutal, his eyes were glassy and I don't think he knew where he was. oh i know he would 'nt have been able to continue ,just trying to show how hard it was to knock the SOB out :lol1:

also Mike Would most likely would have gotten up against Douglas if he had 'nt been scratching around for the mouth peice instead of just getting to his feet he would have made the count ,how about the right hand that Holyfield caught him flush on the jaw with while his chin was up in the air i was amazed that that punch did'nt put him down ,Holyfield is no big puncher but when u get hit as hard as that so cleanly on the Jaw u would be inclined to think most Heavyweights would have gone down from it ,lets not forget Holyfeild had filled out into a real Heavweight by this time & he had previously decked Riddick Bowe a man he could'nt put down in 2 fights previously even Lewis said he was supprised at how hard he was hitting Tyson & he was still thier ,even when he got knocked down he still was'nt completely out it was more a case of what is the point of getting up to take more punishment cause he was'nt gonna win that fight so might aswell stay down Tyson would have gotten up but wouldn't have lasted much longer, that uppercut that he got hit with was brutal, his eyes were glassy and I don't think he knew where he was.

good solid chin! he took alot of punishment in his losses, and took a long time b4 going down!

He had a good chin, I think I only saw him stunned by one punch twice, Bruno in their first fight and Tucker stunned him with an uppercut but apart from those times it took quite a lot of punishment to get him out of there.

gd post agreed he mostly got stopped but never knocked out cold Yeah, but Wlad Klitschko has never been knocked out cold either and most people think he has a glass jaw.

Tyson had a great chin. Most of the times he lost he was just physically or mentally battered. the mental bit so true i think he was hurt more mentally then anything

He did have a great chin. He's been hit by very powerful punchers and kept standing, he's also been battered and stopped by punchers(Who weren't hard hitters like Bruno, Ruddock etc, but still good accurate power) in many rounds instead of quick finishes. I'd rate it a 9/10.
