I think Saturday showed that Kelly doesn't carry his power up in weight that well. Sure he's tall, but he has a very thin frame and is pretty skinny for a MW, I think he could make 154 without too much problem. A lot of people said that DLH was the best fighter out there at 154 and Floyd beat him pretty handidly. How would he do against Pavlik at 154?
I can't buy Pavlik making that weight either. It makes the poll moot IMO.
I didn't think Roy could make 170 after 11 + years since making that weight and at 39 years old, but he did.
I can't see how Pavlik could make weight.
That said I actually weigh the same what Williams does on fight night and im 6'2 if he is 169.
That shit seems unfeasible, though I've never made weight.
Enzo Maccarinelli said Joe Calzaghe has lost up to two stone to make the supermiddleweight limit that's 28 pounds!
What's with you and the notion Kelly Pavlik can make 154? He would be KILLING himself to make that weight. Wait wait wait, did you give Floyd credit for beating DLH, or am I grapsing?

Have you ever cut weight before budd?
Cut weight for 4 years in high school wrestling, the most was 12 pounds in about two days. And I didn't have 24 or more hours to rehydrate, maybe 1 or 2 hours max. I have no doubt he could make weight, how it would affect him is the question.
I vote for Mayweather if this fight was possible. I'd hope Pavlik would knock him out and it could easily happen, but Mayweather isn't the pound for pound best boxer for no reason. The kid is slick.
70 percent chance Pavlik ko's Mayweather.
But for some reason Mayweather wins points just by staying away from a fighter.

Williams comes in 164 for a fight at 147 and Pavlik came in at 169 for a fight at 166, so I'm pretty sure he could make 154 with these day before weigh ins.

what in the world would make you think that Pavlik doesnt carry his power up???
Taylor ate those shots last fight, and he did again.
Pavlik wasnt able to land that winging right hand like he did the last fight because Taylor kept his hands up all night like he was supposed to.
Those body shots were crippling and Taylor said he got hurt by a few of them.
I think if anything, he hits harder at 168. And if its not harder, it certainly isnt any softer...
I was gna say the same thing, how the hell doesnt Pavlik carry his power up a weight,Taylor actually blocked alot of shots,he improved alot on his defence and smothered alot of Pavliks power shots, not to mention i hear Pavlik had problems with his hands after the 7th
And when Pavlik actually did go to the body,he was murdering Taylor, everytime a body punch landed Taylor would hold, the 11th and 12th he was in survival mode,so when Pavlik actually did land a clean shot it hurt, look at the first round
