Sticking my neck out...
Unexpected TKO win for Taylor. Even more unexpected, it'll come in the 9th after nervous moments for both camps in the middle-rounds.
I got Taylor winning by UD or TKO\KO. IMO he has learned from the first fight and will not make the same mistake twice. I am really amazed to see how some are saying that Taylor has no chance of winning.:nonono: I find that rather odd because he put it on Pavlik in the 2nd round and let him survive.
This time around I think Taylor will bring back his jab and actually box Pavlik instead of trading and going toe-to-toe with him. This will be difference in the fight IMO( the jab)
In all fairness, its very hard to root against Pavlik since he is such a down to earth type of guy. He is going to have plenty of heart and determination comes fight night. I still have that small, steel voice inside my head telling me that Taylor wins this one.
I gotta stick with Taylor he had the first fight won and i think he'll finish this
2nd fight off by TKO
Hey man, can you please update your sig. I dont want anyone to think I dont pay my bets off.
Pavlik. Hopefully by k.o. again.
As a person, I like Taylor alot. As a boxer, I can't stand him and I sort of wish he would just go away. I just never believed in the guy as a middleweight champion and his k.o. loss to the first true middleweight since being given the title confirms my feelings.
Taylor has talked about retirement long before most of us had even heard of Pavlik. He talked about being rich, not needing the sport, and not taking the chance of getting hurt permanently. I think it showed in the way he fought in most of his title defenses.
Pavlik seems to be the real deal. He really seems to have a thirst for physical combat and that is good for the sport. I suspect that big heart and appetite for mayhem will cost him a fight he should have won otherwise someday, but not this weekend against Jermain.
I must say that Taylor impressed me more in losing against Pavlik then he did in winning against any other opponents. If he still wants to fight at super-middleweight after the 16th, it will be okay as long as he fights people from that division rather than picking on smaller fighters. And no more gift decisions! The fact that the judges had him leading on the scorecards against Pavlik was disgusting.
Kelly and Jermain are both good people but Pavlik deserves his time to shine. Jermain already had a chance and he blew it. Taylor just isn't important enough for me to root for his own 2nd chance when Pavlik is making the most of his talents.
Taylor is not a good boxer, not even close....
This is why he was winning their first fight by a wide margin on the judges scorecards and in the judges eyes outboxed Hopkins in two of their fights..
Again... Sometimes there are those fights where I can't pick a clear winner.. (Mosley / Cotto was one of them) For some reason, I clearly see Taylor winning this one..
Call it a gut feeling, but it rarely does me wrong.
we all know the judges favor taylor in all his fights! if you think he was ahead on the cards in pavlik fight 4 real than i have nothing else to say. the fight was close, but the margin they had 4 taylor was a joke. ur gut will lose this time buddy!
Taylor is the better natural athlete, and is faster! He is not a better boxer! not even close! he loses his mind when the fight starts, and abandons all he has trained for! Pavlik is a very text book fighter, and does all the little things that most do not notice! pavlik dispatched of everyone in his path thus far! he is far from green at this point! he is only 25, and has alot to learn! but to say he is green though is incorrect! he beat alot of very good fighters that were either unbeaten, and never knocked out b4 till they met the ghost! don't hate!

I'm very surprised most of you have decommissioned Taylor as a fighter.
For some reason, this is an easy pick for me... - Taylor, as long as he sticks to his plan and doesn't do anything stupid.
Taylor is a better boxer. He has been in with some of the greatest active fighters...
The way I see it.. He punched himself out in the second and things went downhill since.
PS - Unless Pavlik wins again, and proves that his win was not a "lucky" one.. I'll believe in him. Until then, he is still a green fighter in my eyes who simply got lucky.
Sorry!
