the poll was specific to each fighter's last win you stupid ******. thats the simple truth even if it hurts your vagina. you are full of s****. that poll was in order to prove that cotto is having the better career by comparing 1 fight from each opponent. don't beat around the bush and change your reasoning behind it. you are a pure hater. honeslty guy, someone as in love with Mayweather as you are will never really be able to give an objective opinion on his career or careers of those who want to or who he should be facing. but you may be able to find your answer in this thread. http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=155546 that sounds like you are comparing careers, not just one single fight. mayweather has the much better career so picking a Mosley win for cotto and a DLH win for mayweather as a comparison doesn't prove anything.

I'm not sure that objective fans that discredit Mayweather's win over Oscar de la Hoya do it on the basis of weight. I think most boxing fans- not band wagon casual fans that got into the sport during the last year and pretend to know a lot, or MMA fans that dabble in boxing- most real fans understand Floyd was at a disadvantage against Oscar because he was the smaller man. Those that discredit the win do so, in large part, because they feel Oscar has become a weekend-boxer. In other words, he's a businessman first and an athlete second. That he's aged, slowed down and lost stamina and only fights once a year at most- if that- takes long vacations from the sport, etc. When they see the way Floyd won they, and I feel possibly with merit, point out that Oscar despite his absence from the sport could have taken the decision if he had not gassed out. If that's the case it would seem to point out Oscar de la Hoya lost the fight for himself as much as Mayweather won it. At least, I think that's the most intelligent criticism I have seen...

Its not about a fan club, bitch boy. Floyd gets ripped way more then anyone in boxing so if your a fan who takes up for him you obviously will be remembered because its a hundred against 1 and all the topics are about him. In those 10 threads you can have 10 different guys ripping Floyd in each thread but there's only going to be the same few defenders in each of them because the numbers are so drastically different. What WW win is better then Floyd's 154 pound win over Oscar. Im so sick of everyone dissing Floyd's win over Oscar like it was nothing or that it doesnt count because it was at 154. To me that makes it all the more impressive. He legitmatly beat Oscar at 154 when he had no advantages and was outweighed in the ring by 20 pounds, 168 to 148. I think its a huge joke how people try to diss that win because it wasnt at WW. Because it wasnt at WW makes it even more special. Oscar had just killed Mayorga. Everyone was just sweating Mayorga after his win over Vargas. Despite being a little older, he has been far more active lately and is closer to his prime. Oscar is TEN YEARS away from his peak as a fighter (back when he was #1 p4p.) Oscar has been on the decline for some time as his record shows. Floyd beat an inactive, semi retired, boxing promoter way past his prime, deal with it. A win over almost all of the names you mentioned would mean more than a win over Oscar, now or last may. And the Hatton win would mean more if Collazo hadn't already spanked him in his only fight at WW.
