The thing is he fought EVERYBODY, who did he not fight when he was at the top, i guess you can maybe say Winky Wright and thats just one guy. Hes lost fights to "SO SO fighters"? since when did Hopkins, Trinidad, Mosely, or Mayweather become so so? Fernando Vargas also fougth everybody..............but did he beat anybody???? I can say he beat Trinidad and is 1-1 against Mosely, now his record dont say that, but its obvious to most, i mean just look at all the world champions he fought, Oscar never took the "easy fight" is all i was saying. No, no, no man. You're missing my point. I don't care for De La Hoya that much. He's a good fighter and thats all good. What I was arguing is when someone called him a coward. I was pointing out that no one who has fought every big name consistently in every division he has been in could be a coward. I don't care about his wins and losses. That to me is irrelevant to his being a coward. It's relevant if I was going to assess his greatness as a fighter and where he belongs in history but i don't really care for him enough to do that. In terms of what you're actually saying about him, well, I agree with most of it. Some of it I don't but .... thats beside the point. As a fighter he is no where near the best of any of the recent era's.
