No doubt it is Kelly Pavlik
He turned from midwest tomato can fighter to superstar overnight.
Miranda was no doubt weight drained and that made Pavlik look good.
Than he fought the way overrated Taylor who had never faced a puncher. Even Taylor who had never put anyone on the canvas in like 2+ years almost KO Pavlik.
Dont get me wrong. Pavlik proved something. He is just being put way way to high on people's list.
Don't make excuses Pantera!!! I get a sense of "Sour Grapes" reading your post!!! Obviously you're a Miranda fan but he's been a Middleweight all his career! Was he weight drained when he flogged Green, gave Abraham a tight argument (headbutts aside)???? I'm not knocking Miranda who's an all action fighter who always comes to fight, but Pavlik was just too good for him and handed his ass to him on a platter on the night! Taylor was undefeated at the time and yes he did get lucky against Hopkins and Wright! But hey, fighters do need luck from time to time and Taylor was lucky on both occasions where it could have so easily gone the other way! He KO'd top rated fighters and Champion in Middle Division so he's taken no short cut to the Middleweight Title and thoroughly deserves WBC and WBO belts. Abraham won't fight him unless the fight's in Germany and Abraham's uncles are judging the fight and his father's refing it!
I agree with this post. I think Hatton is a touch over rated as well.
u better prepared for that comment.... haters will be on u like roy on steroids for hatin on ricky
Ricky Hatton - I remember watching Hatton/Mayweather 24/7 and his trainer Billy Graham talking about how Hatton likes to go to the body in angles, and talking about how he isn't one dimensional, and he's a great kidney puncher. Yet in the fight with Mayweather he fights like some damn C level fighter. His body work isn't effective and doesn't fight in ANGLES like what Graham said, but instead just goes forward and tries his hit and hold "technique". Now you know why Hatton usually fights in Manchester, it's because the referee there only allows Hatton to do is hit and hold "technique".

Roy Jr received a silver medal in the 88 olympics. He went on to win nearly 50 pro fights without ever losing. Beating future HOFs Bernard Hopkins & James Toney along the way. He became the 1st man in over 100 years to win a legitimate MW & HW title. Mike Tyson was the youngest man ever to win a HW title. Then he unified the division without a defeat in 37 fights. Stop being a hater you will feel better.
yeah but roy took ripped fuel... it pretty much kills anythings hes ever done... and tyson was a fluke.. a sad buster proved that ;)
Tyson would have much trouble with the smaller guys, get a guy like collazo in there and he will box Tyson's ears off.
yeah, its all about the weight difference too... someone 210 isnt gonna keep up with someone 147... i mean.. this is :duh: :duh: :duh:
topdawg
dude spinks has ridiculous defensive skills...are u retarded? tyson could NEVER catch spinks... hes too light... too quick... look at the jermain fight

A tie-Roid Jones Junior and Mike "Rape Rape" Tyson.

come on top u gata admit... if roy never took ripped fuel... he would o fNEVER been the fighter he was.... and tyson had NO power... look what douglas did to em
lol my bad. those roids certainly did wonders for roys career. and douglas was taking tyson's best shots all night long. If Spinks was a few years younger, he would have completly dominated Tyson, fo sho.

Yeah kind of funny to say he doesn't have any power because he didn't stop Hopkins, Wright, or Spinks. Especially the first two who haven't been stopped in 100+ fights against some pretty damn good opposition.
ya well if jermain would of had power he would of stopped them:ugh: :puppy_dog :duh:

And Spinks's one stoppage was when he was looking at the referee (like an idiot) and got jolted by a Judah straight left. Other than that, Cory has avoided punishment pretty well.
Don't forget Spinks...
He really couldn't have picked three more defensive-oriented fighters near his weight class if he had tried.

Hatton entered the Mayweather fight as the recognized JW champion undefeated in 43 fights. He was ranked in the top 10 P4P by The Ring & ESPN. You are making excuses for Collazo & Tszyu who both give Hatton his respect in your attempt to discredit the 2 division champion Ricky Hatton.
offensively hatton definitely holds his own...
defensively hes like shootin fish in a shot glass
