Alright fellas, if you put Paulie Malignaggi, Ricardo Torres, Junior Witter, and Ricky Hatton in a tourney, who comes out 3-0? Anyone? Here's the way I see it...
Paulie outboxes Torres
Torres KO's Witter in a good one
Hatton beats Paulie
Witter beats Hatton (hungrier)
Hatton SD over Torres
Witter TKO's Paulie
Damn, I didn't realize it, but I guess I think Paulie is overrated.

In the end, it would be against Witter and Hatton (wasn't impressed with Paulie the other night) and I don't see Witter as a fighter capable of sustaining pressure.
Rees has made a mockery of boxing.
He has proved that if you have amazing conditioning and zero talent, as long as you dont get knocked out, you can win a world title.
Witter would beat Hatton i think. 140 is a very weak division. Witter is too slick. Maglianaggi, whatever his name is, he looked like a bum the other night.
Hatton is head and shoulders above the others in class.
They aren't on his level and haven't decimated the comp that he has.

OK as a former personal trainer I must interject here; intramuscular fat is along the lines of essential fat mass. All fat is catabolized the same through oxidation and through that oxidation process even essential fat mass can be dangerously catabolized. The catabolization of essential fat mass between the muscles and organs can be dangerous to normal bodily functions. One thing you must also realize is that muscular size doesn't necessarily influence muscular strength. There are people with much higher concentration of fast twitch muscle fibers and they are not particularly swollen; they just have greater firing percentages of their motor neurons and better neuromuscular strength. I said all that to say that merely by looking at someones physique you can't determine who the more powerful person is.Oh and about Butterbean, his phyique could be indicative of simply training for neuromuscular adaptation not muscular hypertrophy; like some of the guys in the Strongman competitions.
So Butterbean is much bigger and has a strength advantage over say, a Shannon Briggs (the 270 version that fought Ibragimov ?)
Impossible to just look at someone and tell if they're ripped or not, I'm sure you've heard of intramuscular fat, you know like that marbling in say, a ribeye?OK as a former personal trainer I must interject here; intramuscular fat is along the lines of essential fat mass. C'mon, Moz... admit it. If hatton had Ko'd Floyd, the Hatton groupies would be torching FMJ supporters ad nauseam, ad infinitum.
Admit that.
Of course they would.
It is no different. Try as you may to make it so. Hatton immediately hid behind size. Ditto Graham.
8,000 of stating my opinion. Dissenters be damned. Little red bar be damned.
In a quote that you posted in this thread Hatton said he wasn't good enough to beat Floyd. You posted that quote but seemingly didn't read it or it didn't sink in. What hope have I got of getting through to you if you don't even take in the things you post yourself?
Was Ricky not ripped/lean on fight night? Was he carrying substantial bodyfat?
Here's how I measure somebody's size: What they weigh when they are fully hydrated. Not the weigh-in weight. For example, Gatti weighed in at 140 for Gamache. Nobody in their right mind will tell you that there wasn't a big size discrepancy in that fight.

"he's more natural than me at that weight" is substantially different than "he's too big for me" in your eyes?
Credibility with whom? you? People I never met? Yeah. That's critical.
Of course it is. It's massively different.
Critical enough to post 8,000 times.
