How bothered is America about Haye/Enzo

yeah haye is really good. infact he is the only really great active boxer from england. not true in the slightest. its weird that warren is 'allowing' this fight, seeing as he's usually very very careful with his fighters and this fight could lead enzo in bad position career-wise. I really dont give him much hope of getting by haye the more i think about it.

USS Cunningham will beat both of them.How? He could beat maccarenelli but not Haye. Hell his own promoter didn;t even think he would get past Huck. I am surprised myself that Cunningham is doing as good as he is and hope he continues to improve, but I don't think he will ever be good enough to beat Haye

Not much love for Macca in this thread. Look, the guy might not have the most ability and a bit of a dodgy chin but he still hits like a mule and is improving every fight. His fight against Braithwaite wasn't really laboured, he completly outboxed him and dropped him along the way. I still think the Hayemaker is too good for him but I think Macca will put in a good show, and don't be suprised if Haye tastes the canvas. I would recommend if it aint on TV in the states to try and catch it on sopcast, it will be a good fight.

Unfortunately this fight isn't gonna be able to reignite the division cos if Haye wins he'll simply move up and we'll have the usual scramble for vacant belts, and if Macca wins somehow i don't see him taking on allcomers so he'll never be able to hang onto all 3.

on what groulds does wilson deserve a shot? the fact he is american? the best 2 cruiserweights in the world are british and this is a fight to see who is the best out the two, its not a breat division but it should still provide a good fight.

Enzo's resume isn't stellar (neither is Haye's for that matter) but frankly this Wilson chap has recently lost 4 consecutive fights and no-one in Europe (i.e. where the belts and money in this division are) has heard of him. Each fighter is probably earning a higher purse than anyone else in the division has ever earned. Yeah I get what you're saying. It's just that at times it seems too many warren fighters go down the same predictable route. What are the chances Amir Khan will one day end up with the WBO belt, remain undefeated for 5+ years fighting 95% in England, then all of a sudden start calling out big names accross the Atlantic for a Vegas superfight. But hey, I guess we all know boxing's a business and when it comes to maximising career earnings Warren's one of the best. I think Khan is being lined up to take the WBA belt from Rees, if he gets through his mandatory. Will Khan fight in the US? More likely than Calzaghe going over there early in his career, but then the fights are all in the US for him and that wasn't the case for Calzaghe. Yeah, the WBO is always Warren's first port of call and he is very good at getting titles for his fighters and then milking them for all their worth. He's not alone in that.

Macca is ONLY getting a shot BECAUSE OF THE BRIT FACTOR. Macca has done fuck all to warrant a title tilt. His biggest win was a laboured decision over an inactive past his sell by date Braithwaite. FACT. Haye's record pisses all over that of Macca. Fragomeni & Mormeck are 2 names for starters. Haye also fought for his Legitimate World titles. Who did Macca beat? I have nothing against Macca but he really hasn't done anything against anyone. Laboured win over Braithwaite? Really? You illustrate my point about Haye's record perfectly. Winning in France against Mormeck is not to be sniffed at, and major congratulations to Haye for doing that. He is undoubtedly the undisputed CW champion. I do agree that the Enzo-WBO belt shenanigans are a bit silly. It really is as though the WBO was setup purely to give Warren's fighters easy access to world title they can defend for several years whilst remaining undefeated. Then once they've milked it for all it's worth go to the US with the aim of getting a "superfight" off the back of their unbeaten record and "world title". I always try to stick up for the sport when my friends go on about how corrupt it is...but sometimes you have to wonder whats going one behind the scenes.

Regardless of his weaknesses, Haye could be a star and I'm constantly surprised he has such a shite profile even in the UK. Mind you, taking this fight at CW is career suicide for him IMO. i don't think his profile is that shite now compared to what it was, he's constantly popping up on sky, and random sports tv coverage. this is going to be a great fight, and its a real shame it probably wont get US coverage.
