Calzaghe would piss on Oscar & Tito in the same night.
BUT he didn't boil down to fight Blown up Welterweights.
If he had he would have been derided for it.
Something that B-Hype gets away with.
im so sick of hearing people say that hops beat up on a blown up WW in tito when everyone said tito was going to KO him. i love how everyone was on tito dick than when hops killed him it was boiling down to fight blown up WW. give me a break.
oh and one more thing, calzaghe won't allow this to be a boring fight, not in a million years this is the biggest fight of his career, he will go balls outttttttttttt
No, both he and Maccarinelli are from Wales, so he's not racist.
B]However, if a Brit was rooting for Hopkins to defeat the British fighter Calzaghe, then THAT person must be racist and hate white boxers! Who are YOU rooting for in that fight, Parody?
:wtf: http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c52/Smitty258/Forum%20pics/stfuanimated3uf.gif
Hahahahaha
I guess there was really nothing left to say...a noob with 143 posts who thinks Calzaghe's resume is better than Mayweather is calling me a nuthugger, look people!
Your a joke.
:lol1: :lol1: :lol1:
:owned:
Macca is Welsh, I am Welsh. I have watched many of Macca's fights live. Ofcourse I'm rooting for him. Don't get me wrong I really like Haye but I got to back Macca here.
Thats all you can say about what I posted???..Your going on ignore I expected a reasonable debate with Cal fans..but they are obviously dumb...atleast you anyway.
You think Paul Williams' busyness and work rate will be enough to beat a young, fit and active Mayweather yet when it is Joe Calzaghe against an old unactive Hopkins it's not a valid arguement? Calzaghe and Williams are both southpaws and Hopkins and Mayweather both have good straight right leads so this just shows how biased you are when it comes to YOUR fighters.

He can rough up Calzaghe. The Sakio Bika fight proved that Calz does not look good against rough tough fighters. Hopkins will head butt..hit on the hip...hit late..hit behind the head...hold..he will do alot of things to frustrate Calzaghe and that will throw Calz off his gameplan.
Another reason is Hopkins counter punching..there is no way in hell Calzaghe will throw all those punches against Hopkins.....that would leave Calzaghe open for huge shots. Hopkins will make Calzaghe pay for every mistake he makes..and Hopkins will as usaul make little if any himself. Hopkins has seen speed before...its nothing new to the sport of boxing.
Joe Calzaghe has the tendency to just let his hands go ODH style and that will cost him going against Hopkins.
Hopkins will make Joe Cal fight on the inside.
Hopkins will smother those pitty pat punches.....Once Hopkins realizes that Calz cant hurt him its over.
Another reason is the defense of Hopkins..hes arguably the best defensive fighter in the sport not named Mayweather or Winky..who he just beat by the way. Hopkins is hard to hit as hell and Joe will find that out rather quickly when hes getting counbter punched to death.
Another reason is that Hopkins is an elite fighter...he has all the tools....How iwll Joe Cal react when his workrate doesnt scare him.....or when he tries to taunt Hopkins and Hopkins doesnt budge....how will he react when Hopkins lands the right hands with his head down leaving no target to hit. Hopkins will also work the body and that will slow Calzaghe down.
And lastly this fight is at 175 pounds..somewhere we havent seen Calz..we seen BHOP move up and DOMINATE the LHW Champ in Tarver.
Hopkins will lose some early rounds thenwin the fight going away. I think Calzaghe will be bruised...bloody and will known he was just in a fight.....and say what you want about Hopkins and his 12 punch a round style....against Calzaghe Hopkins will see a fighter throwing alot of punches which will let Hopkins see alot of counter punching oppurtunities....he will make Hopkins fight at times....but whn Hopkins takes this fight on the inside its over for Calzaghe.
Hopkins UD.
8 rounds to 4.
Parody...your rebuttal.
Typical.
Spewing out bull shit again.
Im starting to not like this fight, even if calzaghe wins easy people are still gonna say that he beat an old fighter!!!
IF only Calzaghe dominates or beats him convincingly only then REAL boxing heads will say he beat an over the hill fighter....and thats one big ass IF
with that said I can't see anyone convincingly, let alone dominate old Bernard...
I guess the truth hurts to Calzaghes fans..no one answer for this post???
They were coming after me for awhile there, haha Hopefully your post opened there eyes more
Calzaghe is just a better fighter at this point than hopkins, Hopkins is fading and fading fast, He cant hang with a g reat fighter in their prime or maybe a bit past it, So clazaghe should take this easy
Pound for pound Oscar is much more accomplished than Hopkins.
His wins over Quartey, Whitaker, Chavez, and Vargas are cumulatively better than anything Hopkins did.
I hate doing this cause I hate when everyone else does, but a SD split decision, close bout verse Quartey doesn't make you great. Whitaker was old on drugs. And Vargas was already exposed by Tito. Chavez was getting old also.
Now lets name the fights he lost: Tito, Mosley 2ce, BHOP, & Mayweather & in alot of peoples eyes Sturm Dope resume if he won any or even two of those. He'll loose to Cotto to if they fight.
I don't want to rip him down to much, cause in his younger years as a welter he was an A class fighter, but as in a general career consenus he's B level to me. Just cause your a superstar doesn't mean your a superstar boxer.
Winky is a threat, but not above 160. Guys like Chad Dawson would beat him guaranteed.
You mean this ESPN that ranked him at #39 of all time, even above Evander Holyfield?
http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/greatest/featureVideo?page=greatest3140
Number 1, I said most of the comp at 170. Number 2, nope its not garenteed that chad would win, he still needs to be tested at top comp!
As far as ESPN, yup maybe they dif people running the books, but Oscar was like number 16 on most overrated athletes of all time on ESPN classics' Who's #1" Most Overrated
Calzaghe will knock him out but the fight won't happen, Hopkins is doing the same shit now he's always done. Joe needs to go defeat another LHW champion.
Peroxide cleary said "Name me a top 10 southpaw B-hop has ever fought? " I don't care at what weight, Winky is a threat and one of the best Southpaws out there. Do you not agree?
I also think winky would beat most people at 170.
Winky is a threat, but not above 160. Guys like Chad Dawson would beat him guaranteed.
haha named top 40 by who? And what are Oscars biggest wins? We should start another thread if you really want me to get in on how much De La Hoya is over-rated. Even ESPN classic ranked ODLH as one of the top 20 most overrated athletes of all time & he was the only boxer on the list.
