Trust me guys, this isnt as long as it looks and its different then my normal threads. Just read a few lines and it will flow from there.
Seriously though how can you guys not like Floyd moving down? To me its by far the best thing for boxing. Ofcourse everyone wants to see Floyd-Cotto or Floyd-Williams but lets be real about it. Those probally arent great fights. Everyone wants to see them now and then after it happeneds everyone will say that there should be a rematch but no one will want to see it. The fact is that the WW's are too big for Floyd. They are. Im not saying he cant win because I think he can but there is a 90% chance that win or lose, the fight will be so boring that it could kill boxing. All those matchups would be hyped up so much and stink. Just look at Floyd's career. I always told people before the Hatton fight that they act like they only remember Floyd's last 2 fights. Before that he had 6 very exciting fights. Those last 2 were boring because the guys were so big. Then he fights Hatton and gets a KO. If he fought any of the big WW's right now then the fight will be just like the Oscar & Baldy fights. He cant win. By that I mean that he will either lose or win so boring that he will be ripped for it even though people know the guys are much bigger then him. All he will do is pop shot the whole fight most likely. All of you complain about that but you want to see it again?
I dont know whats wrong with you guys and Floyd's fights at the lower weights. I would love more then anything to see him fight guys like Diaz, Pac, JMM, Paulie, Campbell, or whoever. All those fights would be super exciting because he will go toe to toe. Floyd is not big so I think it is the right move but its still too risky to drop straight to LW. If I was his manager I would try to have 1 fight at 140 and then go down to LW. The only 2 people at 140 for him to fight are Paulie & Witter. I dont want to see him fight Paulie since he has said so many good things about Floyd but I would love to see Floyd go over to England to fight Witter. After he beats Witter then he can drop back down to LW. At LW some guys maybe scared to fight him but once he thows that money in there face I could see them jumping. Diaz is the guy. His team maybe worried about Floyd until they see that contract which on it will be a price that will be 10x more then anything Juan can make in his career. The LW's will also see that they come into there fights weighing more or the same as Floyd did against Witter. I bet if Floyd fights Diaz at LW then Juan will be the bigger man in the ring.
Once Floyd goes down, other guys will come up. You can tell that Guzman is one of those guys who arent scared of anyone. No one will fight him and Floyd will give him a huge pay day. That way Floyd Sr. can also get his big pay day and everyone would love that fight. Then Floyd can fight a guy like Soto. After that Pac will have had a couple of fights at LW and they will have a super fight. People will diss Floyd in the begining but once he starts signing these fights then everyone will fall in love with them because there still great fights and will be 10x more entertaining then seeing him fight the big WW's. The PPV's will be huge as Floyd will deliver super exciting fights all the time and drive MMA out of buisness. After that Floyd can move back to 140 for a Hatton rematch and then he may actually come to WW to fight Cotto for the last fight of his career as Cotto should have the division cleaned out by then. Also, dont forget that Floyd isnt the only guy in town. Think about how exciting the WW division will be without Floyd. Then everyone will stop gunning for him and start fighting eachother. That way we can have the big super exciting fights against guys there own size. Once Floyd leaves then guys like Cotto will definatly fight guys like Williams. Williams, Cotto, Cintron, Margarito, & Clottey will all fight eachoter. Even Berto will be in the mix by then.
I think this is great for boxing as there will be a ton of great matches and all the fights will be exciting. Even the people who dont like Floyd will have to admit that seeing him at the lower weights right now would be exciting. His fights would be so explosive. He wont be big guys. People have it in there mind that he will be beating up on little guys but its so untrue. He's the same as them but just so good that he can move up. Weight wise I bet these guys will be the same size and alot of them will be bigger. I think Floyd goes down in history by doing this. If he goes back and gets alot of wins then everyone will be calling him an All Time great at different weights. Dont forget that Floyd didnt fight hardly any at LW or 140 so he's just going back to catchup. Then we can really judge how he wouldve done against guys like Duran & Pryor. Please stop trying to make it sound like he is Cotto going down to LW. Floyd is a LW but he's just so crazy talented that he can move up. You guys seriously wouldnt love to see Floyd fight a Guzman, Pac, Diaz, Sotto, Witter, Paulie, Hatton at 140, JMM, Campbell, Casamayor, and David Diaz? What about Valero? He may be a star by then and is pretty big. Floyd might even see him. Floyd will be the most exciting guy in boxing at these weights and then the haters or guys like Calzaghe cant rip the way he fights. People have to realize that he will still be in his 2nd or 3rd weight class. They make it sound like he will be in his 1st beating up on guys moving up. Even going back down he will have moved up further then all the P4P guys. How can you say Floyd is beating up on little guys when these other guys are still at there 1st weight and are huge?

Wait all this coming from the guy who said he is excited about De La Hoya/Mayweather II?
So your saying in this post that Cotto/Mayweather wouldnt be an excited fight so we should want him to move down to make more exciting fights, but as soon as Mayweather picks Oscar for the rematch and gets criticized by the Boxing world for it, all of a sudden, its an exciting fight to watch even though we saw how it played out in fight 1?
And I'm saying I dont care because he fought worthless competition and never proved anything.
Fuck.
Okay, I guess we disagree then.
If someone beats all their bad competition, and lose to all their elite competition, where do you place them? There is a lot of middle ground between Mayweather and bum IMO.
He isn't fighting African level competition.
Azumah Nelson fought African level competition but came here and proved himself.
N'dou sure as hell didn't.
He lost to Mayweather... and then another undefeated fighter in Isaac Hlatswayo who has a win over Nate Campbell. And then he had to retire due to brain injury. I'm just saying, I wish his career could have gone on a bit longer to answer a few more questions.
31 and 0 against African level competition.
I'll shut up now, Dweins.
SOrry bud.
31-1, because he walked into the punch of a shitty fighter like you stated.
Regardless of how shitty his competition was, he beat pretty much everyone he faced... it's hard to say an undefeated (or close to it) up and comer is shitty, because no one has proved it yet.
Can we really declare Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. great yet? Hell no, but we can't discount him either, because he hasn't lost.
lmao...
wasn't phil a 'sparring partner' to the great, heralded champion lovermore n'dou.
lol lol.
He might have been, but that is nothing to do with his skill set.
They are cousins.
It would have been nice to see what became of N'dou, but he had brain injury, so he was forcefully retired.
N'Dou 31-1-0 (30 KO'S) but after the fight he is a Bum!!
Floyd has some good wins on his record, but Phillip N'Dou is not one of them. N'Dou's loss when he faced Floyd? a 3rd rd TKO loss to Anthony Campbell (a 13-14-4 fighter who was 1-5-1 in his previous 7 fights, the lone win coming against a 2-11-1 fighter). His entire resume leading up to Floyd is garbage, he even fought a 15-14-4 guy less than a year before Floyd.
But hey, if you're impressed with records, check out Tye Fields 40-1 (36,) the future of the heavyweight division, R O F L.
ahahahah. you :owned: his ass. ahahhahah
good post
I Know...
and he knows it too... because he just concede to getting owned by me...
Smokin " You pizwned me, Horus. PWN PWN, LAMO!!!"
I was telling the truth, cheif.
I'm not going to say something just because it supports my argument.
He could make Cotto a star which is what I said in my original post.
Oh, I never implyed that he would make guys stars, either. Just cotto.
So stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
LOL........
Cotto could become a star even with a losing effort with Mayweather.
For the good of the sport, we need Floyd to make guys bigger stars.
Is that so hard to understand??????
Smokin - "I never implyed that he would make guys stars, either. Just cotto."
Ummm......
DID ANY of those Fighters becomes stars after fighting Mayweather....?
And the answer is no, Since YOU just diss the shit out of all of them So how can Mayweather make people bigger stars when right after they lose to PBF they are discredited...!!
Mayweather dont make stars he kills Stars...!!
So how is it good for boxing, when Mayweather is killing peoples careers...!!
Some just weren't that good, its not that he kills careers or that he kills retired fighters. If you're a Roy fan, after Trinidad you'll be calling him a star killer.
Man, shut the fuck up.
Cotto could become a star even with a losing effort with Mayweather.
For the good of the sport, we need Floyd to make guys bigger stars.
My Response:
Im stupid, but this is your Logic..?
How many people became stars fighting Mayweather..?
If anything after Floyd beats People
People called them bums....
example:
OGLH
HATTON
BALDOMIR
JUDAH
GATTI
N'Dou 31-1-0 (30 KO'S) but after the fight he is a Bum!!
So how is your logic true..?

N'dou was a career African fighter. Gatti had 6 losses when he fought Mayweather.
Judah was coming off a loss to Baldomir. Baldomir was another cinderella man.
Hatton and DLH was good wins.
There's my logic, Horus. Now shit it.

Can you imagine Guzman vs Floyd at 135?
They've both recently came in at around 147 on fight night, they're both by far the flashiest fighters in boxing with great styles to match.
That'd be a fight for the ages.
More competitive fight than Floyd/Pac by far, imo. Too bad it would never happen.
