These three are the worst I can think of.
I got one for you. He's not on the list.
Domique Guinn:nonono:
He had the potential to become a star but I dont know what happened to him. He fell off. He is fucking terrible now. I thought he was going to be a star in the heavyweight division but I guess I was wrong..
I agree, I think he was the biggest waste of talent along with tyson. I think a different strategy vs barrera in a rematch and a new trainer would've really catapolted him. there is no doubt that he was one of a kind.
PRINCE NASEEM HIGHLIGHTS
Naseem retiring at 28 was a bit of a waist. I didn't like some of his antics, but the guy was definitely a talent.
Honorable mention Roy Jones Jr.
Took him a year to defend the MW crown. Never gave ny rematched to Hopkins or Toney. Fought a mailman, cop and waste disposal worker during the mid-late '90s.
Missed out of fighting (and possibly beating) Benn, Eubanks, Nunn, Calzaghe, and Maske.
Naseem Hamed is possibly top 2-3 most talented fighters of the last 30 years and his career is extremely forgettable.

PRINCE NASEEM HIGHLIGHTS
I'd say Tyson, even though he accomplished a lot, he lost out on a bunch of prime years in prison.
Judah acc a fair bit, and though still an underachiever, has time to turn his career back around if he can just work on the mental aspect of it.
Though Golota had Riddick Bowe's number, he was KO'd inside of 2 rounds by Lewis, Brewster, older Tyson, so I don't think he had the chin to go much further than he did.
Ike, I think is a bigger waist of talent than the above three, due to his career being cut so short. The guy was a monster.
James "Buster" Douglas.
All the physical gifts, just like Tyson, but also like Tyson, needed to be mentally stimulated to stick with it. Both peaked when they fulfilled their need to show they could become Champion to the person they loved, for Tyson, D’Amato and Jacobs...peaking for Spinks to unify the title, and after falling off with no more left to prove. For Douglas, his Father, and more importantly, his Mother. Like Tyson, once fulfilled, and without the stimuli alive, they fell off.
At least it sounds cool, even if it may not be 100% true.
Out of the ones listed, I would say Tyson. Early 20's and threw it away, although I can understand someone else’s post where they say "other circumstances" basically derailed him.
If we go by what Lott says, Tyson was only showing a fraction of what he could do in a fight if you compare what he was trying to perfect in training/sparring. You only use what you are comfortable with, what is a reaction, in a real fight, while you work on perfecting the teachings/techniques in training. So, considering Tyson was what, 22/23 years old when he left Rooney, supposedly still improving, and “prime” usually doesn’t start until at least 25 years old, in which is considered the start of your “man-strength-stage”, I wonder what could have been if he stuck with it. I also wonder the same with Ali if he hadn’t lost those few years in exile, and rusted.
Zab Judah.
Mike Tyson
and Mayweather - he has so much talent, but is not making the most out of it.
I don't see how Mayweather is one of the biggest waste of talent.
Michael Nunn ,Bowe ,Norris ,Taylor ,Tyson
Judah maybe a wasted talent but that is because he lacks a fighters spirit aint nothing ever gonna cure that ,he is a Boxer 1st fighter 2nd he lacks the mental make up of a fighter ,all of the above were true fighters who would get down in the trenches & fight when push come to shove
Bowe was excellent inside ,Norris was a gun slinger aswell as a Boxer,Taylor the same as Norris ,some would disagree with Tyson's fighting spirit however it outweighed Zab's IMO
I went with Golota. Tyson was affected by other circumstances. Zab, was good, but still over rated by a lot of you.
With Golota, i have never seen a guy constantly winning a fight, and then throwing it away with a brain explosion and getting DQ'D late lol.
But all three have a lot of merit to be on the list.
I picked Zab, but you have a good point right there.
Ike Ibeatahoochi
Because he never won a title or even got to make some good paydays.
Tyson was a champ and made huge money
Zab has won titles in two divisions and has made some good paydays
Golota shoulden't even be on the list, Corey"T Rex" Sanders was giving him hell. Andrew was a quiter, he quit in all his big fights.
Ike never really got any paydays and was one of the top contenders after knocking out Byrd, who himself went on to win a title and make some good money.
Ike is the perfect Example of "What could have been"
Zab, just because he had the talent to be the top guy. I think he had the best chance of beating Floyd out of anyone Floyd will ever fight. But for whatever reason Zab cant get his head in the game. He could have went down as a real great with all the talent he has imo.
