Pavlik has the unbreakable confidence, the self assuredness that he has what it takes to beat Taylor. Even out on his feet he still recovered to win. Nothing Taylor can do.
Pavlik just keeps his hands up and jab and throw the right. As long as he pumps the jab and brings itstraight back and not down lazily, Taylor is DONE.
It's a bad style matchup for Taylor, Pavlik is his bogeyman. Put you $ on Pavlik in February!
Ozell Nelson has nothng new to add, or else he would have said something in the corner of the first fight. Ozell Nelson brings nothing new. The six pounds is a benefit to both. Pavlik will win.
I don't think Pavlik will win. Don't forget that Taylor was up on the scorecards and had already knocked Pavlik down before Pavlik hit him with a lucky shot and he got TKO'd. I don't think Pavlik has what it takes to pull off another win. It'll be a good fight.
are you selling what you are smoking???? because that must be some powerful stuff you're inhaling?????? that or you're high on glue?
haha. merry day after christmas.....

I don't think he was close to being KO's. But I agree Taylor has the ability to knock him out.
Taylor didn't remain composed with Pavlik hurt. Compare the second round to the seventh and you see the difference between bad finishing and superb finishing.
But if it goes to cards I think Taylor edges it
The way Pavlik fumbled around after he stood up might have influenced a ref to stop the fight. He was completely out on his feet.
And I think Taylor gassed himself out by throwing those ridiculous wild swinging punches immediately and in the round after he had Pavlik hurt.
That was also like you say a poor job of finishing.

I prediceted a mid to late rounds KO from Pavlik. Taylor was backed up by smaller guys like Winky and Ouma and I KNEW Taylor would get backed by Kelly,. retreat to a corner (like he always does) and get KO'd. Not a very thard fight to pick. :cop:
Well regardless.
Pavlik took the flush punches from Miranda, and yet while wobbled was able to stand up to them. Taylor showed that despite Pavlik having an excellent chin.......he can hurt him with punches in numbers.
Pavik is no defensive specialist, he's really never had to be. But the fact is, that Taylor is still a two or three punch combination away from totally changing the complexity of the second fight. Sure Pavlik is the one who showed that when he's coming straight forward behind the right hand........Taylor had trouble because he was moving straight back.
But if he blitzes Pavlik and fights extremely aggressive.......anything can happen and the outcome could end up the opposite of the first fight.

this is a tough tough fight for taylor, not only is his chin in question but his heart too. i'm not saying he doesn't have heart, i'm saying that if he finds himself in trouble, what is to say that he won't stay down on the canvas again and not try and get up? although he was thoroughly beaten last time and the ref wasn't going let him get up, but taylor had all his fire beaten out of him. if he finds himself in the same kind of trouble he's going to have to reach down and pull himself out and from what he showed in the last fight, it's going to be harder than ever for him to do that.
taylor is going to go into the ring confident, but that is only going to be on the surface, because deep down he knows that pavlik can take whatever he throws at him and he couldn't take what pavlik gave to him. taylor is going to be in the ring very cautious, like he should be, but it's going to play hard on his mind, the fear of getting hurt or stunned by pavlik again and ultimately stopped is going to dictate his actions, unless he finds out a way to dominate, which is harder than ever for him to do at this point, and i think is impossible for taylor to do against pavlik.
taylor can win this fight, especially if the judging is the same, because the scoring of their last fight was a down right outrage if you ask me or anyone else with a brain, but that has been the scene for taylor his whole career, favorable scoring. he's gotta love being an HBO fighter, under the umbrella of dibella, where the only way dibella's fighters are going to lose is if they get stopped, because shit is fixed with him and HBO, at least from my observance. but the scoring of the first taylor-pavlik fight was a damn joke, at the very least that fight should have been scored even up until the stoppage, having taylor winning that fight is either paid off judging or extreme taylor dick riding. now, it was a great fight, tons of action and lots of drama, but in no way shape or form was taylor running away with it as the scoring would've suggested, pure fucking crap was that official scoring of the fight.
but back to the issue at hand, it's going to be a vertical climb for taylor who is going to have sweaty hands the whole time, rightfully so, this is a huge mountain for taylor to have to hump over, can he do it? it's possible, especially if the judging goes the same way, can he do it is another question, pavlik i think has focus like no other and won't overlook taylor because he knocked him out, i think pavlik remembers the taylor that had him in trouble in the second round, and has respect for taylor, taylor had no respect for pavlik going into the fight the first time, now that pavlik has taylors respect, i think taylor is going to keep his distance and not try and bomb it out with pavlik.
the thing is, pavlik will pressure taylor until taylor slows down and starts standing in front of pavlik again and we will see the same outcome with pavlik stopping taylor again, unless taylors' wind and stamina is at an all time high and he can avoid getting into a shoot out. which i doubt.
pavlik stops taylor before the 10th round..........................
This is boxing and anything can happen. I think it all depends on how Jermain comes back after suffering his first loss, some fighters take it worse than others so only time will tell, but I do believe that Jermain will do bettr under Ozzel's toolage now becuase he is with a guy who has been with him from the beggining so I don't see any trust issues there as I saw when Jermain was with Manny.
I dont know what kind of taylor we will see because taylor is so inconsistent, so well see. i dont really have a side in this fight, i just hope its halfway decent like the last one.
i'm going with pavlik, he's got the hunger for it, taylor's been not so great as the champion. i like pavlik for his brawling style, although he can box. pavlik all the way
Great poster, I look forward to reading more from you. Maybe you could use these as well: :blowjob: :greddy2:
Good stuff.
Anyway, like Gunstar and the Semi Senor have said, while I'm a big fan of Moby (see sig), he was clearly in distress in the second round.
I actually can't believe how bad Taylor's stamina is.. imagine the fighter he could be if he had an engine.
I think it has to be from cutting weight. He seems to NEVER have energy at the end of a bout. Even when it seems like he is training hard.
Haha "Dazed by a forearm" my ass.
He was wobbling around and had no facilities whatsoever. So I guess him being "Dazed" is why he went to the canvas twice?

Uh, Pavlik wasn't "completely out on his feet" in the second. He was dazed, due in part to a very nice elbow/forearm thrown by Taylor. But the knockdown occured in the first minute of the round, if he was out on his feet, he wouldn't have lasted the round.

That fight would've been stopped by most refs, I say like 95% referees would've stopped that fight in the seond round.
:bryce: You really don't have a clue, do you?:smashfrea

Ok so that's why he had him completely out on his feet in the 2nd round of the first fight, and showed that when he was aggressive Pavlik couldn't handle his punching coordination? lol he lost the fight by doing his usual, strange routine of fading late and backing into the corner. That time he was in against a guy who can hurt you with 1 punch and guess what? he got caught with some shit.
You're acting like it's "Predestined" that Pavlik won. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH it was an exciting MW championship fight where two guys put it all on the line, 1 guy overcame adversity and won.
Remember Castillo/Corrales I? Remind you of something? Chico getting knocked down twice in the 10th to get up and stop JLC? Remember the rematch?
Anyways I think the rematch is 50/50...............just flip a coin.

He's gonna get stopped again if he doesn't jab. However, he is not disciplined enought to box the whole fight. He'll either be very cautious and lose a decision due to inactivity or get knocked out trying to turn up the pressure on Pavlik.
Don't forget the judges had Taylor rediculously ahead before the stoppage in the first fight. If Taylor uses his athleticism and keeps doubling and trippling up on his jab, and doesn't try to stop Pavlik, he definitely has the ability to win a decision.
That is the likely outcome. Personally I feel as if Taylor is a man possessed or something like that. This should be an interesting bout to say the least.
