It was always Ricky's dream, since 1989, to win the British title, but when he did Junior Witter ran into the ring and started pulling faces at Hatton's cuts, and then tried gatecrashing the post-fight interview
This is not where it all started, Witter had been bad-mouthing Hatton since Feb/Mar '99 saying that he'd fought the better fighters while Hatton was getting more attention, and how Hatton was a brawler fraud and the rest of it, basically just jealous (and still is)
Maussa and the ever dangerous and ever deserving Urango are waiting for there rematch you coward, Stop crying and hiding behind your legions of blind fans who are prepared to make excuses for you...I use to be a fan before people expose you as been a coward...All power to you for fighting mayweather.
Hatton is still crying people, Leave him alone let him go back to fighting his normal bums in Manchester, Hatton is only a glorified club fighter with fans..The first time he stepped up he got KTFO.
Witter is a nobody. When Witter unifies the titles only then can he challenge a legend like Hatton.
Hatton got the Mayweather fight and has legends like DLH and Pac wanting to fight him, because he's a money maker. Witter is a dick and will continue to make chump change in front of empty arenas because of it. Witter = :Flush:
No wonder he won't give that bum Witter a shot. Junior won a vacated title, weeeeeeeee. Hey Witter, look how much money you cost yourself being a total jerk.
ZAB Judah was 23 when he fought Witter... Modern athletes Hit their "primes" around 28 years old now.... Just thought I would share that with you...
Yeah, boxers call it their "Man stage/strength" kicks in.
I think it has something to do with hormones...maybe an increase of DHT in the system, not sure.
Shame Tyson and Ali lost valuable years, although Tyson threw it away anyway so it doesn't matter much for him.
Ali was really filling out with the Williams fight.
Haha I remember that well. Witter thought he would try and step into Ricky's spotlight and was taken down with a one-liner. "Lord of the Dance." Classic.
Funny. Now that title goes to Ricky, for dancing around a real threat.

I admit, I wanted to see them fight back in the 90s, and thought Hatton would bulldoze him
But since Witter switched into an attacking counter-puncher who sits down on his shots, I've picked Witter and still do
Yeah I noticed it's been takin off aswel. Bastards. Gonna have to watch the fight tonight now when I get home, you've got me thinking now...hate it when that happens!!!
if i remember, the commentators commented at the start of the broadcast or some shit, if you want, i can up the fight for you later on today.
i have all of mayweather/cotto/whitaker/dlh's fights.
If you don't speak, nobody hears you. It worked for Ali, it worked for Hatton, it worked for Floyd...it can work for Witter.
Witter will end up like Archie Moore. Keep fighting everybody while you are avoided by the Champion. This is also why Archie decided to dish out a huge sum of money to promote his calling out of Rocky Marciano, and it still took time.
Witter has not lost since 2000 and that was against a PRIME Zab Judah. He is 33 years old, and has won a title. What more does he have to do?
Paulie talks more trash than any fighter and yet he is deserving of a shot?
I would be pissed off too if I was 33, haven't lost in 7 years against a great fighter, and is constantly being avoided by someone in your own country.

Hahaha, forgot about that.
Right before the fight with Hatton I was discussing the match Floyd had with Chico with some Brits, and all I heard was "Floyd ran like a little bitch and couldn't stand toe to toe with Chico...Chico stands toe to toe with others, why not Floyd...watch that moneky run again against Hatton...Hatton is to strong, to tough, to fast, English-Mexican, blah, blah, blah"
Lots of racism, lots of b.s. which made me pull for Floyd even more and was hoping for the KO because if it went the distance, Floyd loses. Even now, Floyd cheated so no winning, but at least we can see that KO over and over.
How can you blame a fighter for moving, especially that version of Floyd who was moving in and out, throwing combinations and was exciting.
Similar with Wlad and jabbing people to death. Sure, I wouldn't mind him throwing the right-hand more, but I am finding it funny that he is destroying people with a jab only.
What people don't get is. He does what he has to. He jabs, sure, but what else are people MAKING him do. He has some other weapons, just doesn't need to use them. He will, I think, when needed. People always say all these fighters should do everything, all the time. Everytime in the ring. That's nonsense. Because it's those same smart fans who then mock the fighter when he gets hit with a shot and beaten, because he didn't coast, and went for the finish when it wasn't needed.
If you can get it, go for it. If not, don't force it.
I agree, though. That cheating nonsense is insane. Neither fought clean, and none of it mattered, in the end. I don't get what hatton fans wanted. If it was a REALLY clean fight fought at a distance, Hatton gets killed. If it's a rough fight, it has to be allowed to be rough, FOR BOTH, which it was, and then we KNOW who wins.
Hatton wasn't Mr. Nice Guy in there. Y'know?
That and not wanting idiot fans to excuse his "lateral movement" as "running."
Hahaha, forgot about that.

From what I recall he talks about a fight with Gatti after that fight, if anyone has a video link to it or anything though I will gladly accept defeat in this argument if proven wrong.
I'm not trying to defeat you, I just remember his remarks. Nonetheless, the video I was looking for (lol) was taken down from youtube due to HBO.
As long as it is 2008 I will be happy. Fight Paulie first, regain the IBF belt, same belt you won from Tszyu...it will make people happy and build his name back up. Then fight a PRIME Witter.
OK, happy?
You can save this, Prime Witter...2008.
Lol. I'm cool with it. I was just curious as to how long you think Witter has left of his prime. I hope they fight, too. Trust me.
This is true, but you don't think Floyd could have prevented the hugbear tactic by just moving, jabbing, throwing the hook, throwing the straight right hand, etc.?
You don't think weight prevented him from moving more often?
Or do you think Floyd just wanted to mess with Hatton's mind and beat him at his own game and figured, let Hatton wear himself out a bit and then I'll kick his ass.
Could be.
That and not wanting idiot fans to excuse his "lateral movement" as "running."
