why didnt cotto knock out paulie, give me a break.
I'm not hatin on PBF...I'm simply saying it's going to take a COMPLETE fighter with a full arsenal to defeat him.
Now what do you think would happen to Floyd if he fought a younger Bernard Hopkins? Oscar won a title at 130, where he was never beaten, at 135, ditto, at 140, ditto, at 147, 7 successful title defences before losing a very close, contoversial, MD to an undefeated beast in Trinidad. Next loss, a prime, undefeated Shane Mosley. His fight with Hopkins was a mismatch for someone coming from 130. Floyd arguably loses to all these same fighters, and when he's 34, will definitely lose to a 30 year old version of himself.
So please don't tell me there is NO comparison between DLH and Floyd.
Oscar never came from 130.
Oscar never legitimely weighed at 130, if 1970 is you d.o.b. you should be old enough to know it.
Even with that advantage he won bogus titles at 130 and 135. Whereas Mayweather won wbc AND ring belt, which he defended like a dozen times combined. SO dont even pretend they are the same size. Just go watch hteir fucking fight already and see the difference for yourself.
Oscar is bigger than Mayweather. End of it.
"Mayweather would arguably lose to all the same fighters"
based on what? on the weaknesses he has shown? which ones again? being in a close fight against one of the best inside fighters who was outweighing him by 10 pounds on fight night? that weakness? or is it based on the hate clouding your judgment?
you really do hold Floyd in the highest regard, dont u ?
Actually I do. His win against Hatton just proves PBF is the man to beat. There is no doubt if you polled the top fighters in the 140/147 lb division, they all want to fight PBF. Why? Because defeating Mayweather would them money and the recognized title of p4p champion.
Point is...who ever fights PBF needs to be a COMPLETE fighter in order to defeat him. One or two dominant attributes won't do it.
blah blah thats the best excuse u can come up with?
and he aint gonna fight cotto unless its in a huge ring and with golden boy handpicked judges even so id doubt it cuz that would mean taking a risk and mayweather doesnt have the balls to do it
excuse?
who needs excuses when you got facts. I got facts
YOU are already making excuses for Cotto's loss: the judges the ring...
Mayweather fought Oscar in the ring Oscar wanted, with the gloves Oscar wanted, at the weight Oscar wanted. He did not need excuses, he signed, took the cash, and won the fight...
Hatton minus Cortez is the only guy I reckon has a shot. He can run from the rest. Pressure is the key.
Lol....Is this matthew?
Round 1: Floyd
Round 2: Floyd
Round 3: Floyd
Round 4: Floyd
Round 5: Hatton
Round 6: Even
Round 7: Floyd
Round 8: Floyd
Round 9: Floyd
Round 10: Check Hook!
Get over it...
I think Floyd might beat Cotto, not 100% sure on it, but probably would beat him.
I'm thinking Floyd would have trouble against the much taller opponents with a long jab, like Margarito, and Williams, all depending on how quick their jab is.
in which case you can discard Margarito
With 5 losses, one by knockout.

anyone can be the best when they handpick inferior rivals thats what floyd being doing
if he was the best why isnt he fighting cotto or williams?
ill answer that cuz he knows hes not gonna be a 4 to 1 favorite
thats why hes already retiring and ducking everyone
Tell me this? How many titles do you have?

history will flush this bullshit down the toilet
and he is going to fight Cotto.
a good question is "is he going to fight Williams?"
nice to see gavinz do his homework.
But I view Floyd Mayweather as the best fighter of my generation next to Sweat Pea. The best fighter (other then Sweat Pea) since the fab 4.
He's an enigma. He would be more then competitive in any era.
that pretty much sums it up, you can have Mayweather pretty much wherever you like among the greats (possibly leaving alone the very top tier such as Robinson, Gans, Duran and so on...), but it's too late to not acknowledge his greatness.

there are no unbeatable champions if floyd keeps boxing he will get beat one day
but hes probably gonna fight only one or two more times which is smart on his part but doesnt show any courage and he will be remembered as a fighter who handpicked his opponents and only fought inferior rivals
True for the "inferior rivals" part. Being the best is not his fault, though
everyone says that hatton had the best chance
what a load of bollocks. since when does a raw wild brawler
do well against a boxer ? especially when the guy (hatton)
is much smaller and does not carry his power up with him
Pretty much since the beginning of time.
Hatton had speed, stamina, angles, footwork. In the past and in the first half of his last fight, he also showed some intelligence in the ring. Now the fact that you dont know boxing enough to notice is a different story.
Also, he entered in the ring heavier than Mayweather on december 8, and for THE PAST TEN YEARS.
1 fight don't make a great fighter ... mayweather is still unrpoven
HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAAHHAHAHHAHAHAH
1 fight... nice one, I am done with you, welcome to my ignore list
Floyd: 6 world titles in 5 divisions with 12 total successful title defences
Oscar: 9 world titles in 6 divisions with 18 total successful title defences
You sure about that?
sure as daylight...
haha joker!!!!!!!!!!!! i bet you have never seen a khan fight in your life
i cant belive ur sayin khan has more power and speed than Zab, Zab is a great talent that just dont have the head for this sport i bet the house by 2010 no one is talkin about amir khan
whos maweather faced whos got the speed of khan? with that much power too.
There will be no point in Khan's career where he will be able to beat Floyd. Well actually in 3 years Khan will be nearing his prime and PBF will be 33-34. He might have a chance than.
Just incase you didn't notice I am being sarcastic.
