imo for people to put hatton in the top ten pfp is insane. he got knocked down by a b+ fighter, i dont care if it was scored or not. he could have easily lost that fight. he was hurt badly by collazo. i can only imagine the beating he is going to take from a much more skilled fighter and accurate puncher who has only slightly less power. and i wanted to watch the fight objectively, i thought i did, and i was very dissapointed with hattons performance, because i do think he is a good guy and would like to see him win pretty much every time he fights with the exception on dec 8. im not trying to flame, someone please explain to me why im wrong, because hatton reminded me a bit of gatti in the sense that he is very easy to hit. and i dont believe great fighters can have bad fights unless they are injured, so i dont want to hear that he just didnt bring his "a" game.

Collazo is a bad fight for anyone yo and he's bigger than Floyd, they have the same difference in KO's but Collazo is taller and though he's not AS skilled he is a South Paw, VERY hard to deal with.. I think Floyd beats Hatton but Collazo was too much for Hatton.. knock downs go unseen sometimes yo it's like Floyd when he went down against Judah, sometimes the ref just doesn't catch it but for the most part Hatton mounted enough of a fight to where he could walk away a winner, Hatton is better than a lot of people think it's just he's sluggish, he tends to hold too much and sometimes, actually ALL the time bases his offense on clinching once he's done hitting, he's shown other tendencies like coming in from odd angles and shit but overall I think Ricky is a problem in his own right.. 100
didn't hatton have a Flu coming into the collazo fight?
adding to the fact that collazo has knocked out guys when he fought at 154 light-middle.
and hatton tried to put on as much weight as possible for the collazo fight.
team hatton clearly said that was a mistake, and said they will have hatton come in a little over the light-welterweight limit to keep his speed, and be closer to his natural weight class. like at around 142-144.
collazo is a southpaw, too.
that's right, collazo made hatton work very hard for that close win.

You say b+ like it is some kind of official term. Its ridiculous.
hatton looked like absolute shit in that fight, like a club fighter, are you trying to say that any of the fighters you mentioned looked that bad in those fights, no fucking way.
Hatton may have had a bad night, which is possible. All fighters have them.
I dont really care about all the weight excuses that hatton fanboys have spouted.
Only thing that troubled Ricky was the 6 weeks he had to prepare for Collazo. 5 and a half weeks actually. He had to totally switch his training camp around. Before he was training to fight an orthodox fighter (Juan Lascano) so he was adapting his training methods to the fact that Juan was orthodox. He had to switch everything up.
Are you kidding me 6 weeks in camp is more than enough all Ricky would do is get different sparring partners and pratice a few different techniques, but his basic training was there.
No excuses for this fight, Collazo made Ricky work for the W.

I just watch the first Castillo fight, and I can't believe Floyd is #1 p4p. I mean Castillo outlanded Floyd almost 3 to 1 on power shots and landed about 30% more punches overall. Nice job rating a fighter based on ONE fight by the way, especially a guy's ONLY fight at welterweight.
who hasn't floyd fought besides cotto .hatton did get droped he got caught with a jab then the straight left fell into collazo collazo shaked him off and he fell
thank you! that is what i saw too. regardless he was hurt pretty bad.
its called a lie, look it up. if he can get a 15 million dollar paycheck without a significant chance of being defeated, then he can get another 15 million dollar fight. its a business, and pbf knows that a lot of his appeal is his "0." dont want to lose that.

because PBF would do a lot of things for 15 million dollars
then why is Floyd Mayweather fighting someone who hasnt proven himself and has fought a bunch of bums? He's almost built his perfect record on moves like this, the same record stans you like LOVE to boast about. Remember, he isn't doing it for money anymore as he explained on 24/7?
read again
well i've never seen robinson vs. tiger jones, but i can assure you when the greatest fighter of all-time loses to a journeyman like tiger jones, he must've looked bad.
larry holmes looked bad against the 19-8 mike weaver.
erik morales looked bad when he was arguably losing to guty espadas and losing to zahir raheem. you think morales looked good when losing to raheem?
would you like me to go on with more examples of great fighters who had off-nights to shut down your stupid claim of "great fighters can't have off nights unless they're injured"?
Because I can go on and on if you'd like.

ok say you are right, any fighter can fight like shit on any given night, hatton hasnt done enough for us to judge if he really just had a bad night, because he has beaten up on a bunch of bums, and has maybe 3 good wins. not trying to flame but that is just a fucking fact.

okay, that's cool. if you're going 2 bash hatton, do it because u knock his opposition level, not ridiculous statements like "a great fighter can't have an off night unless he's injured" or being shocked because he got knocked down (unofficially).

No it isn't. It's your utterly uninformed and infantile opinion.

im saying that when you havent fought a high level of competition and in one of your few fights against top competition you look horrible, you shouldnt be in the pfp top ten.
So Collazo is top competition? Hooray! Luis will be flattered.
not to mention the trouble PBF had against Castillo then for Castillo later to be KO'd by Hatton later on. So by threadstarter's logic, PBF cant be great either.
