Before the De La Hoya fight he wasn't as well known, not a household name and did shitty numbers for a champ of his magnitude. Oscar slingshot Floyd into the spotlight and the stardom he has now. Before the DLH fight, Ricky Hatton v. Floyd Sinclair would not be selling like it is now.

that is true.
and if Hatton wins he will become the draw.
that is life of boxing and the life of celebrity boxer
I would say Floyd was shown to be a 350K range ppv fighter before Oscar and fighting DLH and winning definitly upped his exposure.
I expect Mayweather Hatton to do around 1 million ppv buys, so the difference is 650K.
Oscars impact on Floyd's numbers.
That sounds about right. Floyd was a decent draw because he was the best lb/lb in the world but no one had heard of him. Oscar got him the main stream attention and now Floyd has become a bigger draw.
Who cares? Hes better than Oscar and he proved that so.......................if people are paying more for Oscar does that make him a better fighter? No hes just a joke now who looks for big money fights and fails to win them
Eh not really. He barely won against a 34 yr old Oscar. A prime Oscar clearly takes Floyd out. Hell, the older version almost did and Floyd made the fight as boring as possible.

Many people tune in to Floyd to see him get KOd. At least a third of the people buying the Hatton fight will be doing so just for that very reason. They want to see Floyd hit the deck.
24/7 helped this one out a massive amount. Plus DLH & Golden Boy marketed the shit out of the fight, it had so much advertising it wasn't funny.
DLH is the biggest PPV star of all time. I'm not a DLH fan one bit, but it's the truth.
Sorry playboy but Mike Tyson is the Biggest PPV star....the only Fight ahead of Mike Tyson fight is OScar vs FLoyd....after them comes another 4/5 tyson fights....Tyson is the King of PPV and never forget it. His fights are the majority of the whoel top ten best sellign boxing PPvs.
I DISAGREE....THEY NEEDED EACH OTHER.... OSCAR NEVER DID THOSE NUMBERS BEFORE....
FLOYD HAS OUTSOLD OSCAR IN HIS FIRST 4 PPV.....
AND THATS A FACT....
SO HOW DID OSCAR MAKE FLOYD WHEN FLOYD OUT SOLD OSCAR IN THIER FIRST 4 PPVS.....

I would say No...The Gatti fight is what initially brought FLoyd to the genral public because it was a PPV bout in which he was headlining....nobody knew him before that fight really unless u were a big time boxing fan....DLH defiantely didn't make him the draw he is...HBO and 24/7 made him the draw he is. He was already best P4p Boxer by the time DLH caught up to him....maybe the DLH fight is what MADE YOU know who floyd is....Also don't be ridiculous and think DLH is that special because he didn't make that nobody guy who whooped his asss on HBO before the Hopkins fight into a draw...so if your trying to say DLH takes nobodies and makes them do BIg numbers your full of shit

Yeah your right in away but even before that fight people were watching him because they hate him!!!
Is this really supposed to be a bait thread?
I think it is actually pretty on-point.
Floyd has always had pretty good star quality. He has made Gatti, Judah and Baldomir all have their biggest PPV numbers when they fought him... but now that he fought DLH, he is going to be an absolute superstar draw-wise.

I agree
he won a gold medal then kept winning afterwards.
Plus Oscar had a huge female following that weren't even boxing fans before that.
You dont need to beat a superstar to become one... if you just unify the belts and are good then people will start to reconize you.. lmao who did oscar beat to become an superstar?? noonee.. that just ruins your little theory
he won a gold medal then kept winning afterwards.
I DONT CARE ABOUT POINTS
I JUST WANTED TO PROVED THAT I COULD MAKE YOU LOOK STUPID JUST LIKE I DID.....
AND NO MATTER HOW YOU PUT IT IT, YOU ARE MY BITCH NOW BECAUSE I OWNED YOU....
NO PRAISE ME:notworthy
your MY e-bitch now. after all, who is making who points?? that's right bitch.. keep working the track!

I KNOW HE GOT OWNED......
but he is still a Child, and can not accept his defeats just like his hero
Margarito...
:lol1: LMAO! I don't even like Margarito.. dudes a bum! you just :owned: yourself again!
actually this is a bait thread ahahahahah y'all got :owned: I just needed some quick points and new sonofasis and quntel would be all over this since they jock Floyd's cock sooo much! thanks for the points y'all! I appreciate it! My first succesful bait thread... wow im proud of myself :)
Yeah right LOL....Looking at it from the outside you definitely got :owned: ..No way out of this one mate Bait or NO bait you got:owned: .

I agree 100%, Oscar is the reason Floyd has gotten all this exposure. Floyd should donate millions to Oscar for making him a draw.
exactly, I know who PPV numbers were better yet your dumb ass continued to argue and argue. so who's stupider, me for making a fake thread or you for buying it?
I say you for making the fake thread and expecting everyone to be on your mentally degraded level.
